A couple of you have seen this already but that's ok. You can comment on how you felt about it and/or how long it took you to get it correct. :Green It took me a couple of tries to do the math correctly. Hubby got the answer quickly and he was right the first time! :thumbdown Remember, this is a real math problem; there are no tricks. And yes, please do assume that everything mentioned is really inside the bus. If you already know the answer, please refrain from posting the answer until a few others have had a chance to embarrass themselves. :Bleh There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack are 7 BIG cats. For ever…

I made a group on Facebook, stating all that, and I am tired of the world trying to taking everything thing that means so much to us. Christmas is a very special day, not for us to give present to each other, or see what Santa Clause bring to us, or having a big Christmas tree, its about Jesus birth! I know a few homes that they go as far as having a birthday cake on that day (that is alot of candles on that cake since Jesus is alive!). I got into troulbe having a pin on me saying "Its ok to say Merry Christmas!", and that ticked me off, and I am at the breaking point where I will keep it on, respect my Lord, and be fired if I have to. Doesnt any one feel the same way…

I'm days away from the official launch of my newest site. I still have some help pages to complete, but I thought ya'll would like to check it out... http://beginpad.com It began as just a bookmark/favorites site, but I realized it would also work well as a launch page for affiliate marketing. It would also work well as a daily link site (like fark.com). Let me know what you think.

I realize this might be a rather strange question (see poll), but I'm curious as to what my brothers and sisters in Christ think about it. :smile EDIT: I changed the poll question so it is more clear. If you need to change your vote because of this, please do so. I would have the topic name the same as the poll question but it is too long to fit in the subject box. I apologize for any incovenience. God bless, Crushmaster.

Selective Constitutionalism -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By Chuck Baldwin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Covenant News ~ December 09, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many conservatives are up in arms regarding the charge that President-elect Barack Obama may not have been born in the United States and is, therefore, not qualified under the U.S. Constitution to be President of the United States. Article. II. Section. 1. of the U.S. Constitution states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citize…

"You will only be bothered by what you allow to bother you." Would you agree with this statement? In which situations/ways would this not be true? I realized recently that some of my favorite people on earth that I would love to be more like are the type of people who are not easily "ruffled". Is it that they are just naturally calm people, or is it that they just refuse to let things ruffle them for the most part? (or maybe a little of both?)

Well, it was not the way I planned, but I had a date with my wife on Friday. My brother and sister-in-law said that they would watch our kids so my wife and I could go out for a night. We were headed to a college Christmas concert, and were planning on having a nice little dinner before we saw the concert. At quitting time, I locked up the store, went to my van and started it up. I dropped my gloves outside of the van, and while I jumped out to get them, I locked the door to the van and shut the door - with the van running. That's ok, I thought, there is a spare key in the store . . . which is locked up. I went to the business next to ours and used their phone to ca…

WASHINGTON -- President-elect Barack Obama says you won't catch him lighting up a cigarette in the White House. Noting that the White House was a no-smoking zone, Tom Brokaw asked the president-elect during a televised interview on Sunday, "Have you stopped smoking?" "I have," Obama replied, smiling broadly. "What I said was that there are times where I have fallen off the wagon." "Wait a minute," Brokaw interjected, "that means you haven't stopped." http://www.foxnews.com/politics/electio ... ite-house/ I've heard this many times. These people are addicted. I use to smoke and even I said I don't smoke all the time. I may not be a chain smoker, but I was still ad…

Not only that but it is also very, very loooooong. If you click twice on the picture it will eliminate any and all extraneous ImageShack superfluity. :Green ...and the pic will be even larger yet. I.E. When you click on the picture and imageshack view comes on, click on THAT pic.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20081130/ap_ ... dishonesty Students lie, cheat, steal, but say they're good NEW YORK ? In the past year, 30 percent of U.S. high school students have stolen from a store and 64 percent have cheated on a test, according to a new, large-scale survey suggesting that Americans are too apathetic about ethical standards. Educators reacting to the findings questioned any suggestion that today's young people are less honest than previous generations, but several agreed that intensified pressures are prompting many students to cut corners. "The competition is greater, the pressures on kids have increased dramatically," said Mel Riddle of the Nat…

But I'm not asking what you really look like. In another thread someone mentioned that on a different forum they briefly uploaded a photo of another person as their own avatar and it made me realise that someone's avatar on a chat forum can affect how you picture them, even if the photo is very obviously not them at all! For example, I picture John81 as a cowboy with a big hat and I imagine HappyChristian walking round in camouflage gear all day. Kevin Miller I view as excitable, just because he's a zebra pulling a wheelie, whereas Seth Doty always gives off a calming air on account of his tranquil avatar. That sort of thing... So how do you picture people on here, ju…

Many years ago I attended Tabernacle Baptist Church in Virginia Beach. Has anyone here ever been to Rock Church? I used to pass by it on the way to Tabernacle. So, where has everyone attended or attend now?

OK, I listen to BBN on the radio all the time. It's the only station of any value around here. Is there anyone else who imagines Alexander Scourby speaking when they read certain Bible verses? For me, this one: 1 Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

A friend shared this quote from a "Traditional Catholic". Back when I used to debate such on various forums I encountered this belief a lot. Do others encounter this as well? "American Protestants are unwitting Jew-worshippers. As such, they've put America in dire straits, via her obsession with protecting Israel. The mad ramblings of evangelical leaders such as Pat Robertson underscore the spiritual cancer from which they suffer."

What makes a Christian ? Answer : A belief by faith not of works in Jesus Christs sacrifice on the cross. Are the only christians Baptists ? How does one get over the denominational barrier ? I ask these because I see it all over the internet that Baptists are too legalistic, too striaght. Baptists aren't Christians cause they're mean spirited people. They take take everything out of context. They're trying to work their way into heaven by keeping standards. This, that, and whatever ...... I hear all kinds of stuff. At the same time the bible says lean not unto your own understanding but in all your ways acknowledge him. Bible also says go not the way of the world and …

Socialist Republic by Patrick J. Buchanan 11/27/2008 Barack Obama and George W. Bush seem to have come away from their study of the Great Depression with similar conclusions: To wit: After the Crash of 1929, the Federal Reserve did not move fast enough to save the banks and inject cash into the economy. Second, the New Deal, far from being wastrel deficit spending, was not bold enough. So it was that America wallowed in depression for a decade until the unbridled spending and mammoth deficits of World War II pulled us out. Bush and Obama seem determined not to make the same mistake. We are all Keynesians now. Thus, we have the $700 billion Bush bank …
