Members Bakershalfdozen
A couple of you have seen this already but that's ok. You can comment on how you felt about it and/or how long it took you to get it correct. :Green It took me a couple of tries to do the math correctly. Hubby got the answer quickly and he was right the first time! :thumbdown Remember, this is a real math problem; there are no tricks. And yes, please do assume that everything mentioned is really inside the bus. If you already know the answer, please refrain from posting the answer until a few others have had a chance to embarrass themselves. :Bleh There are 7 girls in a bus. Each girl has 7 backpacks. In each backpack are 7 BIG cats. For every BIG cat there are 7 kittens. The bus driver in not on the bus at this time. (Wonder why... ) Question: How many legs are in the bus? Have fun!
Members deafnva77
My answer is... Members Bakershalfdozen
:frog It is a 5th grade math problem to see if a 5th grader has good math skills. It is not an anatomy & physiology question to see if a girl is actually capable of carrying all that. :Bleh
Members deafnva77
You mean I have to do all that math? I think I'll pass :)

Members deafnva77
If I calculated corrected and this is no trick question (and I'm trusting you on that!) I guess it is about 10,990 feet edited: I had 10980, but realized that I miscalculate it. I forgot to carry over the
Members pneu-engine
No doubt there's bound to be some fleas on a few of those kitty-cats. How many fleas should we guesstimate?    With all of that meee-owring going on it is no wonder the bus driver was not on the bus.   I found the bus-driver. He had to take one of those BIG CATS out. :Green

Members rancher824
I came up with the 10990, But pneu-engine is right, with that many cats there would have to be fleas and might I add ticks. :eek :eek
Hmmmmmm............I only made it through 4th grade math.........but I'll try............ 1 (bus) x 7 girls = 7 girls 7 girls x 7 backpacks each = 49 backpacks total 49 backpacks x 7 BIG Cats each = 343 BIG Cats total 343 BIG Cats x 7 kittens each = 2401 Kittens + 343 Cats x 4 legs = 10976 Cat legs 10976 Cat legs + (7 Girls x 2 legs each = 14) = 10990 legs total
Guest Guest
Impossible to answer. No way to know if any of the girls or cats were amputees. :frog :smug:
Members pneu-engine
For the sake of simplistic calculations we are assuming that they are all complete with their parts and appendages. :Green
