I'll post these in the order they happened... 1. A dear friend lost their jOB a couple of months go. They are now old enough to collect retirement but that won't kick in until next Spring. Pray for God to supply their needs. 2. The oldest son (of 7 or 8 kids) of a former pastor of mine was married on 11/09/09. He was killed 9 days later in a vehicle accident. Pray for his family and his bride of only 9 days. 3. The oldest son (17 years old) of a former college-mate of mine was in a severe car accident. His pelvis is crushed and has other severe injuries. Dear Praying Friends, On Tuesday, my 8-month-old granddaughter was rushed to the emergency room after her mother (my middle daughter) couldn't wake her from her afternoon nap. The baby was still breathing but she wouldn't open her eyes. The local hospital had her life-flighted to a major hospital two hours away that had a pediatric ICU. Several tests (CAT scan, blood gas, MRI) proved normal, yet the baby was still having trouble staying awake. Finally, late last night, a urine toxicology test result came in, showing opiate exposure. I went to emergency last night because I was having pains in my chest and heart spasms. They couldn't figure out what is wrong. Today I feel like I did a strenuous workout, sore chest muscles, minor pain, worn out. It is scary not knowing what is going on.

Elizabeth's hand has been hurting a lot lately. Pray that the pain will go away. She has no feeling in the tip of her finger - on Thanksgiving, she was pulling out a dish from the oven and touched the hot dish. Since she can't feel the heat, she didn't know that she burned her finger until she saw the red mark and a small blister forming. The doctor said that she is a very lucky person (although I don't think it is luck, I believe it is God) since most people that get this type of infection lose the finger completely.

Please pray for my friend, Luray, and her 32 year old daughter, Joyelle. Joyelle is having her 4th brain surgery for cancer today at Hershey Hospital. The doctors have never done this type of surgery and there is a great chance she won't make it. I know we serve a GREATER God, though. They are removing a tumor the size of a cantaloupe from her head and are using her hip bone to replace her jaw, which they will also be removing. Luray is saved, but Joy isn't. Joy has 3 small children. Please take time today to pray for them. Please pray that the surgery will go well and also for Joy's salvation. Ok this is a prayer request plus some questions. Please pray for us. We are going through a hard time.Here is the situation. I finally found the jOB of my dreams or so I thought. I worked in a Christian preschool with Christian people. It was great. We opened up the new center and things were going well at first. I got my first paycheck (I hadnt been paid in 8 weeks) and I was excited. The director said she only got so much money and had to divide it between 11 people. pray for my husband. He is in extreme pain due to some gallbladder issues (it isn't gallstones, I believe it is polyps, but I could be wrong because I couldn't make out the words my husband was saying). He will have a simple procedure soon to take care of this issue. The pain comes and goes, and today is one of his bad day.

I've got a prayer request: Hurricane (or Tropical Storm, or whatever) Ida will be moving into our area soon. It's pretty weak now; only like 70 MPH gusts now. And, it will prOBably get weaker. Earlier this year Jill had a baby and was then stricken with medical prOBlems. She had several treatments, most recently some kind of transplant which didn't work. Jill has now returned home to die. This woman will never see her child grow up and her child will not get to know her or remember her. Jill's husband will be without his wife and the mother of his children. Please pray for all involved.

We have an event called "Friend Day" at our church tomorrow (well, technically, today. . .). I know the Lord's going to work mightily. I've can't really fill in all the details right now, I need to get back to the hospital. My oldest son, Wolfen, Lost control of his bosses truck driving back to work this afternoon, he rolled it a couple times and planted it sideways in a big old cotton wood tree. His boss was about a mile behind him in the Semi-truck, so was pretty much on the scene, and we got there at the same time the sheriff was pulling up. It looks like he was ejected from the truck, his boss found him laying in the ditch. He has a pretty bad head injury, and some spinal injuries, and a bruised lung and broken rib. A man died at my work last night by being crushed in a huge plastic molding machine with tons of hydraulic pressure. This was not because of any doing but really the actions of the man who died. However, another man was the one that started the machine and you can only imagine the burden of guilt that rests on this man. I complete agree brother, we younger people are taught as you said that we are the descendants of primates, we are then taught that as you’ve mentioned about the new view of the Bible, that our religion is wrong and backward, a very sad thing in todays education. I hear it even from teachers and peers who would profess to be Christians.

It's strange how the Bible was held in such high esteem then, but that after this trial, not so very far from where I live today, the Bible is no longer welcomed into the classroom, and we are now considered to be the proginy of monkeys. It's so very sad. -
Hello brothers and sisters, I was recently given the assignment of writing a paper on the infamous Scopes V. Tennessee trial. I found it quite interesting how the defense attorney, Clarence Darrow, had no genuine argument or examination of the evidence itself. He instead called the prosecuting attorney, Mr. William Jennings Bryan, as a sole witness and ridiculed his faith, interpretation of the Bible, and his view of the creation account.
