Dear Brethren, A dear friend of mine who is a member of a non-Baptist church has gotten into a struggle with the membership over their unwise decision to go with the corrupt NKJV. Sad! However, it has been an educational process for he and me (since he confides in me quite a bit,) they have thrown everything including the kitchen sink at him. Now, this fellow Sir Francis Bacon. They say he was an occultist, and Free Mason and was involved with the editing process of the AV1611 and that there are mystic insertions done by him. Of course I don't buy it AT ALL, but they have picked it up from somewhere. To the best of my ability, it seems the Masons have made th…

Believe me I firmly believe that the KJV is the only bible for me. I've seen the evidence. But, i've been posting in another forum trying to lead the lost to Christ. I had stated my un wavering belief in the KJB alone. They had presented this. Source:http://www.comereason.org/theo_issues/theo025.aspI'd like to provide an accurate and appropriate response to this. But, I am little lost. I've never heard this argument. Please, if you can cite sources. Thank you in advance.

Part 1... Isaiah 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line *** who love Truth more than a lie *** Do you love the truth, BELIEVER? WHO is the exception to this command? 1Peter 2:17 Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king. Penned by Peter, commanded by God, CHRISTIANS were to honour CAESAR. Bloodthirsty, self aggrandizing CAESAR! WHO, is the exception? NAME him, and give a BIBLICAL answer please. There are no exceptions to God's COMMANDS, BUT Americans MAKE King George III the exception. So, King George III irritated, and aggravated the colonists...? YES? Where did that com…

Just want to throw this question out there see what every one else thinks. Ok so what makes a man of God decide that the KJB is nolonger Gods word and switch to anouther translation or comentary which is what a lot of new versions are? How do they get past the things that are left out, the words that are changed that cause the meanings of whole verses to become different. I believe the devil has gotten a strong foothold in a lot of American churchs by the insertion of these versions. He has done it slowly, but he has speed up his attempts to get into our churchs and homes, he is the author of confussion and it can't be anymore confusing in a church when there are mu…

I have seen alot of posts, here and other places; talked to a lot of people over the years; seen a lot of changes.............................two things have not changed: 1-God has not changed His stance on sin; it is still rebellion against a Holy God. 2-God's people still are not doing what we are commanded to do. We spend far too much time negotiating, scrutinizing and trying to prove this or that in the Bible ( in a futile attempt to sway a lost man's mind with Bible logic); and all we simply need to do is to tell the lost what God has done in our life and let the Holy Spirit do what He will....we are the tools, not the Carpenter. gatorpreacher :amen:

Are you supposed to ask for God's will when someone is sick? I'm entirely confused about if I'm supposed to ask for God's will or ask Him to heal. :puzzled:

There is a verse in Joshua that I think truly speaks out to me. It talks about being a strong and Godly man. Also to face our fears with dignity and to totally trust in God. What have we to loose. God will be with us the whole 9 yards. Thats why I just love this verse. Roughly Remembered Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage? For the Lord thy God is with you always.

2 Corinthians 1:12-14: "For our REJOICING is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in SIMPLICITY (haplotnti) and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our CONVERSATION in the world, and more abundantly to you-ward...(14) As also ye have acknowledged us in part, that we are your REJOICING, even as ye also are ours in the day of THE Lord Jesus.? There are several issues to be addressed in these two verses; some are translational and others are textual. First of all, the word "simplicity" is found in the Majority of all texts, D, and Sinaiticus correction, as well as the Old Latin and the Syriac. It is the reading found in W…

Brethren, I am sure this question has come up before, but I tried searching it out and could find nothing. 1611 I John 5:12 "Hee that hath the Sonne, hath life; and hee that hath not the Sonne, hath not life." 1769 I John 5:12 "He that hath the Son hath life: and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." Notice the difference in the two with the inclusion of "of God" in 1769. It is my assumption that their was a copyist error in 1611, but I don't like instructing based on assumptions. Any help would be appreciated.

Exodus, chapter 25 (King James Version) 18: And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat. 19: And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof. 20: And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.

Tyndale, the Textus Receptus or the King James Bible? Revelation 18:13 ?SLAVES and souls of men.? I recently got a letter from a Christian man who claims the Textus Receptus that underlies the King James Bible is his final authority and not the King James Bible itself. He was telling me that this is also the position of the Trinitarian Bible Society, who takes offence at being labeled a ?King James Bible only? organization. They say they are not KJB only, but Textus Receptus only. The Trinitarian Bible Society has publicly stated:?The Trinitarian Bible Society does not believe the Authorised Version to be a perfect translation, only that it is the best available tra…

How long were the children of Israel sojourning in Egypt? - 400 years, 430 years or 215 years? Genesis 15:13; Exodus 12:40-42; Acts 7:6 and Galatians 3:17. At a Bible club I belong to a man, who does not believe The Bible or any bible in any language is the inspired, complete and inerrant word of God, posted the following example of what he undoubtedly picked up from some other site claiming ERROR in the Bible. If you get on the internet, you will find tons of Islamic and Bible Sceptic sites that bring up this example as being a clear contradiction in the Bible. He posted his criticism of the Bible using one of the modern fake bible versions (which DOES have a contrad…

Genesis 15:1 A verse that holds forth a precious promise is found in Genesis 15:1, but it has been changed in such versions as the NASB, and the liberal RSV, NRSV. We read: "the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram; I am thy shield, AND THY EXCEEDING GREAT REWARD." Just think of this a moment. God Himself is our shield and our exceeding great reward. In my better moments it is so good to just think about the Person of God Himself. Who He is, what He is like, how great, wise, all powerful, merciful, loving, gracious, faithful and true. He spoke and the worlds were created. He suffered on Calvary's cross, bore my sins, paid for them in f…

It is not eisegesis to interprete The Sons of God in Genesis 6:1-8 as believers of the godly line of Seth. The geneologies in Genesis 4 and 5 trace the human race through two lines one headed by Cain and the other headed Seth. In the context these geneologies are accompanied by a statement of the moral develpments in Genesis chapter 6. The intermarriage of the "Sons of God", the godly line of seth with "the daughters of men", the ungodly line of Cain caused wickedness to become so great that God purposed to destroy man from the earth. Notice in Genesis 6:6, "And it repented Jehovah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart." The topoic is man. In …

Yes, I missed service yesterday morning, and lucky for me, it appears the pastor started railing on King James and who he was and what he did, and how mean he was, and how he had the Bible written with changes he approved. I was told he mentioned a scripture in Corinthians in which the translators purposely mistranslated a verse because they feared King James, BUT the NIV and other modern versions had it correct. The message was on what love is and what love isn't. I wish I had the exact scripture passage he was refering to, but I dont.

Is the word ?ship? wrong in the King James Bible? There are many today who do not believe that any Bible in any language (including ?the? Greek and ?the? Hebrew) IS now the complete, inspired and inerrant word of God. The various lists of alleged errors in the King James Bible is seemingly endless. Of course, not all these ?gnat strainers? are in agreement with each other as to which list of alleged textual or translational errors are correct, but they all do share two common characteristics. They all believe - 1. The King James Bible has lots of ?errors? in it, and 2. NO Bible in any language IS now the inerrant word of God. If a King James Bible believer knocks do…

Psalm 22 - All about Christ's sufferings Most Christians over the centuries have recognized that Psalm 22 is clearly a prophetic Psalm which speaks in great detail about the sufferings that Christ endured during the hours of His crucifixion on the cross. The Lord Jesus willingly took our place of deserved judgment, and offered up Himself to bear the wrath of a Holy God for our sins. In fact, while He is hanging on the cross of Calvary, He quotes the very words from the beginning of this Psalm. Psalm 22:1 "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my ROARING?" Here the word is #7581 and it is always ROARING in…

I have heard that the original 1611 King James Bible had the 7 Old Testament books that Catholics have in their Bible. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

Jesus said in [bible]Mark 16:15[/bible] Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Being homebound I am limited at getting out in the world, but I am connected to the net, and it goes into "all the world", so I presume that is what He meant. I discuss and debate Jews, Muslims, and others. I have come up with a question I hope you can help me with. [bible]Matthew 5:17[/bible] says Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. I got into a debate with an orthodox Jew who confronted me with Where were the prophecies, not in the Tanach. Tanakh is the Hebrew Bible. The acronym is based on th…
