I hope I'm doing this right - I'm still learning how to navigate the website. I became a Christian as a child in a Charismatic Church but upon study - decided to follow IFB beliefs. I know "following" a church is not the way to please God but I do think we're supposed to apply intellectual effort to discern right doctrine. On the other hand, I also believe God is merciful anyone who takes His Son as Personal Savior. Regards, -S (I guess this signature isn't necessary since it's attached to my profile photo and name)

Hi, I'm a newbie in every sense of the word. I was raised atheist but when I hit my teens I felt like I needed to believe in something, even though everyone was telling me it was wrong or stupid. I spent a lot of time reading up on different religions and kept on being pulled back to Christianity. That pull got a lot stronger over the last couple of years and I've even dipped in to reading the Bible a few times, though I've not made it more than about a third of the way through (I'm making more of an effort with it now). I was finally saved after getting pregnant after a LONG time trying but then lost the babies and my faith around the same time. It's taken me s…

I've been saved for 22 years. Became IFB about 5 years ago. Teach Sunday School. Married with daughter. I used to be MissDaisy on here but haven't been on in over 8 months so my old information must've been deleted, I was unable to access it or sign in with my old info, so I figured I'd start over. I'm glad to be back.

Hey there, I'm a new member of this forum, and until recently had never even heard of an Independent Fundamental Baptist. I believe that in the Christian community there is so many lies and false teachings being spread around that it is absolutely impossible to sift through it all without a very strong knowledge of scripture, and It seems to me Baptists hold to this much better than most everyone else. I'm honestly not even sure if I am saved or not but I still read everyday and pray all the time hoping God will hear me, I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that I am a sinner separated from God. I think I've accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior but I've been unsur…

Hello, everyone! My name is Scott Morris, and as the title says, I'm from Mississippi. I found the forum just now by way of a Google search and thought I'd sign up to see if I can get some thoughts on an idea I have. Back in February, I published my first book, a Christian novel for older preteens and younger teens, and I'm looking for a way to make it more accessible to missionaries. I'm not quite sure where to post my idea, so I thought I'd mention it in my introduction so as to be directed to the right spot. Anyway, a bit more about me: I've served as the music director at my church for the past five years (yes, it is an IFB church). As you've no doubt gathered fr…

Hello there! Too be perfectly upfront, I am not a christian. I am an agnostic - one of those wishy washy people who can't be an honest atheist or religious person - I must sit on the fence and refuse to choose sides. Don't worry though, I am not here looking for a fight or a debate. I am just interested in discussing a book/author I stumbled on a bit ago and fell in love with, and someone recommended I try more fundamentalist type christians since they may likely be more familiar with the book. But all of that is discussed on another thread:). About me...I was raised catholic as a child - I always say my mama is more catholic than the pope. I think that is especiall…

I've been saved a bit over 45 years, almost 60 years old, stone-cold deaf, married, but separated due to circumstance other than the norm, no children. I live with my sister and her rabbit-tailed cat, in a little town in the sticks. I love to sing, but the neighborhood probably doesn't appreciate it. Love cats and dogs, especially American Bulldog-Pit mix. Am an unpublished novelist; currently writing a Christian historical thriller. I've been surfing for a good Baptist forum and hope I have found it here.

Hello. I'm a 52 year old Christian from California. This past year I became interested in the KJB vs. modern translations topic and read and listened to many discussions and debates about it. I learned a lot and became convinced in favor of the KJB. I am now extra glad that I've been using KJB based homeschooling curriculum for my sons all these years. I did have to go out and buy a new KJB with larger print as the print in my old one is small and not as easy to read these days, but now I'm all set. Anyway, I'm glad I've found this forum.

Hello everyone, I like to stir the pot a little. About 5 years ago I began searching for truth, after obsessively looking for what exactly true salvation is, I found it. I found it through Kent Hovind, and Pastor Steve Anderson. I believe salvation is a free gift, offered freely to anyone that trust in what Christ did for every man. Since that moment, my faith has grown immensely in the KJV. I study everyday. Why? Because i have to? NO, because it's a burning desire to learn more about the loving God that saved me from the punishment of eternal damnation. I believe repent is defined as a change of mind, and I understand I am going to heaven not by my own righteousness, bu…

Hello all. I'm on here to meet and discuss the word of God with other Christians who read the KJV Bible. After being pagan for years and backsliding I'm now stronger than ever in my faith and I want to meet others who are following the same path as me. I'm so excited to be back in Christ and back in the word. I love my Jesus now and I want to please him. This time I won't allow persecution to cause me to backslide because I truly believe his word. May the God of heaven bless you all

Dear Brothers and Sisters, I have finally decided to join up and begin posting. Some of you may know others with my last name, please do not assume to much from the connection. :-) The Lord has graciously saved me and I want desperately to serve him in any way he allows. I love the word of God and studying, and teaching it is my great privilege. The great struggle is living it! My life verse is Philippians 3:10. I do want to keep growing in my knowledge of my dear Savior. I do want to know his resurrection power. And, in my better moments, I do want to be fellowshipping in his suffering. He is certainly worthy. For His glory, Christian Markle

Greetings, I go by the name grits4Jesus, because I am a "girl raised in the south" and I am for Jesus. I am perhaps not as sold out as I ought to be, but I certainly am aware that only the blood of Jesus Christ can wash away my sin and that the moment I trusted Him, (April 1st, 2005) my sin debt was gone. Looking forward to reading what others have learned from God's word!
