I am The Wanderer. I have been saved for nearly 40 years. Jeremiah 29:11 and Ps 31:15 are two of my favorite Bible verses.

Good morning brothers and sisters I am joining the site as have recently been incapacitated and find myself unable to attend my local chapel. They've been really good and look out for me but the more avenues I have to fellowship with like minded believers the better! I am KJV using (not only, although I use it exclusively) baptist of a strict and particular persuasion. I was born again as a young man in 1978 and have been glad to follow the Lord to the best of my abilities since then. Not always perfectly but always with a sincere heart! I look forward to meeting you all

Hello all. I have been a Baptist my whole life. I am a Baptist by conviction tho, not tradition. I dont take anybodys word for anything, I research it myself. I am a rabid Baptist historian. My journey into Baptist history began years ago when I was told by a professor that all Primitive Baptists believed in predestination and were hyper Calvinist. Something told me that wasnt right, so I started digging and found that he was dead wrong. It is because of this, that I dont take anyones word just because they have a degree behind their name, or because they are a pastor. I am neither Calvinist nor Arminian. I deny all of TULIP, I believe in the eternal security if the belie…

I grew up in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and have been a Baptist all my life. I have wide interests and follow many topics. I will not simply accept what is currently popular until I have researched it for myself and I make my own decisions. I am always reading two or more books at a time. I do not believe in the division of clergy and laity. If a person is a Christian, to me, then they are clergy as every Christian has the responsibility to 'go into the world' taking Christ with them in both deed and word. I put deed first as I believe deeds show what we believe and either backup or refute what we say we believe. Bare with me if I ask questions. I have always been …

Hello my name is James, once consider myself an IFB, while not a KJVO I would call myself a TRO. After many years of struggling to understand the pre-trib rapture decided to become Southern Baptist as my end time understanding can’t agree to a pre-trib rapture.

I joined awhile back and was active for awhile but dropped off. My name is Maggie, my username is "trapperhoney" which is a nickname my husband gave me. It came about by our son wanting to learn trapping after hearing his dad's stories for years, so we went to a Trapper's Convention. I was just the driver (while my husband is great navigating the woods he is pathetic on interstate, lol, and not a native of where we live now -- while I am), I had no real interest in what was going on. Once we got there, however, there was a lot of interesting things. The furs were really cool and I liked the ermine, so I became interested in trapping weasels. I got a basic book and started…

I've been here for quite a while but I don't think I've introduced myself. I am an elderly female, been in Baptist churches most of my life. Made a profession of salvation when I was about 10ish. but really think I got saved in 1982. I find this forum to be a great place to ask questions that may present divisions if asked at church. Some simple, some complex, none meant to cause issues here. I'm old enough to remember when the sermons were longer than the song services, and sin was preached on.

Hello, I just want to greet everybody hello and I am very happy to have found this website/ forum. I have so many questions about my homeschooling journey and glad to have found a safe, warm and trustworthy platform to ask questions and hopefully I can be of any help too to others. I am a homeschool, single and work-from-home mom and my daughter is requesting for an E-Reader, since she loves reading. According to this link, https://thewiredshopper.com/e-readers-vs-tablets/?fbclid=IwAR2gAE2cU3h5ecaA6IjXQnLY9Q5ix0mOOJZ355FBBHCPO5SBniJ_pi5E9sk, you can also read ebooks through a tablet, which I wasn't aware, but according here it appears like it's a norm that peo…

Hello. I'm Bruce. Thanks for allowing me to join the forum. I was raised in the Presbyterian Church USA but was saved in 1970 in a small Baptist church where I grew up. I love the KJV and am certain that it is God's perfect word for English speaking people. Found this site during a general web search.

Hello everyone my name is Helen Jacobson I’m a 39 year old mother of three young children Abigail, Beatrice and Margaret. I was born and raised in Hendersonville,TN and raised as a fundamental Baptist and have been all my life as is my husband Eric. Over the years my faith has been tested and always found the church to be my rock along with my husband. I want to talk with other members and ones who are strong in their faith and believe in old fashion traditional values of the church and advice with being a better mother raising my girls in the IFB faith and church values. I don't know if I know anyone on this board or not, but I thought I would give it a try to get away from the toxicity of Facebook. I'll tell a little about myself. I was raised as an IFB from the age of nine until I was well into my 30s. My wife and I left the IFB movement after moving here to the Middle Tennessee area. We became members of a local SBC church soon after leaving our last IFB church. I am a lay-preacher, though I haven't preached in over 15 years because of a church split. This was in a small, country SBC church where I was one of the preachers who filled in while the pastor and/or assistant were doing other thing. After several years of searching for where…

I'm really enjoying my time here in OnlineBaptist.com. I have to say that compared to many other forums that I have been on, this one isn't as active, but, the people seem to be more civil and Christian in attitude, especially the moderators. I greatly appreciate the input I've received so far on this site and look forward to a long stay if that's what the Lord provides! So, to each and every one of you who have welcomed me, and some who I already know, thank you and Blessings! Brother Tony

Hello All, this is a general rundown of my relationship with Christ. I was born to a single mother who was never there for me emotionally. I watched her cycle through men until she eventually married a man when I was 8. Before her marriage I grew blissfuly unaware of how my life was. My mom and my grandmother attended a very liberal church, Presbyterian with a female pastor. My mom was an occasional weekend warrior church attender all through my youth. God was spoken of very little in the house, and when it was, it was soft. Back as a child I became very worldy, I found provocative material at 12 and became addicted to it's lure. I was malnourished and addicte…

Hello everybody I am new here. The reason why i am here is because I fell away from God. I used to be so religious and i started going down a dark path. I'm really sad about that but I'm here to change it. I'm not a big going to Church person but id rather read the Bible and pray to God.

Hi everyone, I've lurked on this forum for a couple years without ever registering or posting anything but I'm finally singing up and posting today. I quit facebook a few years ago and migrated most of my online hangout time to reddit and youtube. Lately reddit has grown so filthy and hateful that I'm finding my way out of that site also. I'm hoping you all can suggest some better places to hang out online outside of the big social media sites. I've always been concerned with how the big tech companies disrespect our privacy and silence opposing viewpoints, this place seems nicer, if a bit underpopulated. A little about me: I'm a single man in my mid 30's. I'm t…

I am happy to be here with you all. I am an Independent Fundamental Baptist from Texas. I am currently attending an Independent Baptist Bible College. I am King James Only, Dispensational, and not a Calvinist. I look forward to learning from some of the older and more seasoned members on the site. Thanks, DC

Hi. Hope to learn and fellowship here. I was redeemed by the blood of Christ almost 34 years ago. I believe the KJV 1611 is the inerrant, infallible word of God but I can't say I can explain all the apparent "contridictions". Nice to met you all.

Yeah hath God said?... We know who said that and that it caused the fall of man and it has been causing men to fall ever since... Do we believe that God preserved his word to his English speaking people or not, says he did and if we don't then God is a liar... Let God be true and every man a liar... Isn't it interesting that the KJV came about during great persecution in England in 1611 and not soon after those who received it took it to the New World in 1620... A book that talks about the blood of Christ and the sacrifice that was needed to saved sinful man was the answer of prayer by the blood of a martyr, I know the KJV and it has been my Bible over 50 years... Enough …

I just want to introduce myself and to say thank you for allowing me to be part of this board. My name is Chase Tallent and I have been active duty Navy for 16 years this coming August. I currently am a member of an SBC church but I grew up independent baptist, my grandfather has been an independent baptist pastor for 50 years. I will be entering ministry as well when I retire from the Navy in 2024 and I am currently working on my biblical studies degree at The Master's University. I wanted to be part of this board to learn from those of you that have been in ministry and to contribute when I can, I have no other agenda other than to learn. Bottom line is I love the Lord …

My name is Angel and I'm from North Carolina in the US. I joined to ask a question concerning Catholics and Baptists. I am a Baptist and was curious about the Catholic faith but have decided that it's not for me. I wanted to see the similarities between us as well as the differences but I now understand where I stand in my faith. Although I know where I stand, I would like some help in reaffirming my beliefs. I never wavered from God, my core beliefs were still there I just wanted to see if there were other ways I could serve Him better. Thank you for listening, hope to hear some advice. Please pray for me. God bless!
