Not so surprising, God is still and becoming more OBviously in control every day. Bold below added by me.

OSLO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack OBama won the NOBel Peace Prize on Friday for offering the world hope...

...the world's top accolades on a president less than nine months in office...

"Very rarely has a person to the same extent as OBama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future," the committee said in a citation.

The whole world is shocked. Everybody knows he's done nothing yet. Its still an effort to blind the minds of the public!

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus and His righteousness...
I dare not trust the sweetest frame but wholly lean on Jesus name.

Amazing, a community organizer, whose friends are all radical people, can win such an award, that ought to show ever reasonable person, that the winner of such an award are extremely unworthy of any awards.

Plus on top of that look back at who won it last year.

Remember, the world loves its on, and it hears only its own, also remember what will become of them.

5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.

1 John 4:5 (KJV)

I never read of any awards that Jesus nor His apostles received from the world while living their life upon this earth. Paul made it quite plain, he was only running this race for heavenly awards which are not called wood, hay, or stubble.

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may OBtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to OBtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

1 Cor 9:24-26 (KJV)

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

1 Cor 3:12 (KJV)

Yes, the world loves its own and rewards its own.

Aren't we in the day when good people are called bad, and bad people are called good?

Think about the Hollywood crowd who takes up for criminals, but I fear it will wax much worse.

It was reported on the radio that the names to be considered were entered on February 1st. That means at the time OBama's name was entered for consideration he had only been president a couple of weeks.

For decades now the NOBel Peace Prize has meant little. The prize is nothing more than a political statement anymore.

As has been pointed out, OBama is close friends with radicals who have used terrorist tactics in the past, some who still promote such; and he is the president of a country with troops at war in two or more countries (OBama has enhanced the use of drone planes engaging targets in Pakistan) and he's sent additional troops to Afghanistan and is currently considering his next moves in that country and how to define "victory". Are these the marks of a man deserving of a peace prize?

As has also been pointed out, the only real and true hope is in Christ.

Talk about the worst choice for the NOBel Peace prize...........man. All I keep thinking of is that the Prince of this world has blinded the eyes of the masses and this is all in preparation for the Glorious Appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tickles me to hear people say how humble he sounded in his speech about it. Humble is one adjective that cannot be applied to BO. True humility would have been to refuse it so that someone like Greg Mortenson, who has started over a dozen schools in Afghanistan and that area could receive it. Greg was nominated as well. And he has actually done something, not just talked about it.

Personally, I think they chose BO to push him into pulling our troops out of the Middle East. Whatever anyone wants to think about the war, it's not done yet, and pulling our troops out will make matters worse, not better.

Interesting that his prize is a call to action rather than a reward for jOB done.
