They have icy roads in Texas?!? Never would have thought it...

Of course, at certain times of the year they have icy roads, we have them in Arkansas too.

I recall a trip to California back in my truck driving days in about 78 or 79, if you were going to slide off into the medium you would have had to call ahead and get reservations. Why? Because the medium was full of both cars and trucks.

My wife is from the Amarillo area and the panhandle of Texas gets a goodly amount of snow and ice in the winter.

In the winter time in Arkansas you never know what tomorrow may bring, it might be hot & dry, hot & wet, it might be cold & dry, it might be cold with freezing rain, it might be just right, one can only take it as it comes one day at a time.

Yet, in the winter time it unusual to have very many snow or freezing rain days during our winters. For instants, a few years ago we had new windows put in our house, & it was being done in the winter weather. The day the windows were delivered we had a very nice day, temp in the 60's. On that 1st day the man went ahead & installed the window that was replacing the living room window because it was so large & might be easily broken left with the others come Saturday & Sunday.

On Monday morning he & his helpers were back before 7:00 AM getting started. For the next few days we had several very unusual cold days dipping down below 32º, even in the day time, all in a row while they were removing & replacing our windows. I kind of felt sure if it were not for replacing our windows this would not have happen in Arkansas!

Over the last several days, and into the next several days, we have bounced between below normal to above normal and back towards near normal temps. We've had dry, rain, and a little snow. Never know what the weather will do in March!

I guess Bro. Matt finally drank that cup of coffee. Sure took him a long time.

That was a good cup of coffee. Now I look like I need that cup of coffee.
