Sadly, many farmers don't give much (if any) thought to God at all. Even many professing Christian farmers fall into this category unless something really bad happens and then they think about God.

Our pastor has been praying with regards to the harvest at the past several services, and in doing this he has been giving thanks for the great harvesting weather we've had. We've also been giving thanks that the harvest is as good as it is (though it's below a normal good harvest) after the excessive rains we had earlier in the year that hampered the planting and early growing season.

One thing I appreciate is the faith and committment a handful of farmers have in not missing church in order to spend a few more hours in the field. They trust God with their crops and getting their harvest in while the rest of the farmers don't set foot in church during harvest time.

We had a baptismal service last Sunday with 8 folks declaring their faith in Christ. Praise God!!!

I love baptismal services. We only started doing them about 10 or 12 years ago at our church, before then it was just something done really quick at the end of the service. They are such a blessing. The newly saved give a testimony before they are dunked.
