Jerry's Resignation

These are the type of announcements that I do not enjoy giving, but ? To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:?. Jerry has been a mod here on Online Baptist for over 5 years and can say, ?I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:?. Effective July 1, 2007, Jerry will no longer be a mod at Online Baptist. Jerry, feels it is time for him to move on and to focus his ministry on his writings and devotionals. Jerry will be moving from a Moderator to a regular member here on Online Baptist, and will still be posting devotions from time to time.

Thank You Jerry for all you have done, if we ever can do anything for you, please do not hesitate to ask.

If Jerry has been a blessing to you, please let it be known.

Jerry has indeed been a great blessing. Many issues have come up that Jerry took the time to expound upon, or even give a detailed biblical analysis of, complete with appropriate biblical passages.

Thanks to Jerry's efforts, I've gained a greater depth of understanding on some issues. In some cases, I've been guided to see how other passages of Scripture I hadn't considered before, did indeed relate to other specific Scripture verses. This, of course, gave a more complete picture of the topic.

Thank you Jerry for your postings here as well as your fellowship and friendship. I pray the Lord will bless that which you are concentrating your time upon for His glory and honour!

I always depended on your having a level headed, Biblical answer for everything. If you said the Bible said something, even if I didn't agree (occasionally, not too often!), I was forced to check it out because I know that you have a definite gift for Bible study. I hope you'll still be willing to give your insight if there is a difficult Bible question (rather than debate) on here sometimes!

I know that oftentimes we didn't see eye to eye on certain biblical issues, but I can honestly say that I have learned a great deal from your posts. Take care!

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this thread. I thank all those that have taken the time to respond. As stated, I will not be involved in the public debating or Moderating on these boards anymore.

Lord willing, I will still be posting studies here, and I would love any of you to visit my Bible Study Blog and leave your comments: Buy The Truth.

If anyone has any questions on Biblical issues and wants to know what I believe the Bible teaches on that subject, feel free to pm me or email me. I love to study the Bible and post what I have learned (as well as teach others how to study the Bible for themselves) - I just no longer have a desire for these debates, and I will no longer be visiting the public Forums on these boards (except for the Devotional Forum). They have taken up too much of my time, and I truly feel the Lord has called me to move on in that regard.

May the Lord richly bless all on these boards. May you glorify the Lord in all your posting, and may the Word of God be your final authority in all things.
