Over the past few months I've been noticing the phrase"He Gets Us" popping up everywhere. I was saddened when I learned that some of the churches that were in the Southern Baptist cooperative program were using this phrase with pride, stating that it was bringing others to Christ. The sad part is that they, along with some IFB, Bible Church, Nazarene, and Churches of Christ are falling for this garbage. My feelings on this campaign are well known in the church my wife and I attend, and it's not been a popular opinion with the younger people. But, I believe this is just another attempt to humanize Christ and an attempt to tear down his being the only begotten of the Father.

This article tells who is involved in this junk. It's not shocking, post-pandemic, that many are falling prey to this ideology, and the adversary is going to take full advantage of the lax attitudes of Christians at this time.

What is your opinion of this unholy campaign?

WHY? would any Baptist even be looking at a Catholic website, or pay any attention to ANY Catholic teaching?

This is the kind of garbage you get when looking to sources other than where God placed you, your local church.

If this sounds unkind or accusatory, it is meant to be. I hold no misconceptions about Catholic teaching or motives.

They murdered us by the millions for holding to the truth of God's Word. Revelation 17:6 (KJV) And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

I agree. I've got a step-uncle who is Catholic. He likes this show and says it's pretty close to Scripture. I don't think so. I have pointed out how it is being used to desensitize people to the diety of Christ. He doesn't see it. I don't understand how he can be so blind if he's truly saved.

I agree 100% with the sentiment here. Every time I see one of these adds I feel terrible, oh gag me! It completely loses sight of the real Jesus Christ of scripture by erasing aspects like His Divinity and His role as Judge and King. When I was younger in the faith, I fell for crud like this. Really not a good thing to see the wrong Christ preached.

He ain't saved.  I read somewhere that this was turned into a commercial for the football game.  Didn't see it but my wife and kids saw the fraud right away and told me about it afterwards.

You're always welcome to your opinion. ?

Let's not get personal, here.

I'm confused - what show and who is the 'he' who isn't saved? I thought this was talking about an ad campaign funded by a group of anonymous families.

He alleged my step-uncle wasn't saved because he was still in the RCC. And, this was a "sidebar" to that conversation. ?

So what do you think Brother Tony?  Is his faith in the Catholic Jesus who can't save anyone because they have to do good works and Mary is over Christ?  Or is his faith in the biblical Christ and he just likes hanging out around all those idols and lost people?  Or is it something else?

Who says his faith is in the "Catholic Jesus?" Did I? I don't believe so. I have heard his testimony and seen his life, and TBH, he has more Christianity and grace in him than you've shown in your last posts about him and his salvation. Just something that I noticed.

Not everyone in the RCC believes in Maryology or that Mary is over Christ

Or is his faith in the biblical Christ and he just likes hanging out around all those idols and lost people?

Some people DO have different motivations for staying in the RCC.

Or is it something else?

Not all that is being taught in the IFB (Big "I", little you) is Biblically sound or correct...doctrines of men  intertwined with true, Biblical doctrines.

With all that said, I believe he is saved. His salvation testimony is a lot stronger and his presentation of the plan of salvation is much stronger than many of todays Christians.

I did, why else would he be there and be blind to the truth?

I got saved and started going to mass with my wife and children.  Only person who carried a bible into services.  As I grew in grace it became apparant that this was no biblical place to be for a Christian and got my family out of there quick.

That's YOUR experience and opinion. Thankfully, it's not everybody's. And, as I've stated in other posts in response to you, you're ALWAYS welcome to your opinion. I wouldn't try to take it from you. ?

I was confirmed in the Episcopalian church. The moment a fellow Marine showed me what the Bible says about salvation and sin, I knew it was true. Three weeks later, I asked God to save me and He did. There was no question that the Episcopal church did not teach the Bible. I have no loyalty to any false gospel. It seems elementary to me.
