Summer cold

Anyone else getting summer colds? There is a NASTY bug going around here. I have a sore throat and stuffy/runny nose, and the kids are getting over bad respiratory and ear infections. Its like Christmas in July!!!

My son brought it home from camp, so tons of people at church are getting it...but then talked to a few other people not even related to the church and their kids are sick too. Weird. Yucky too, I hate colds! UGH!

Yeah... that's usually how it goes... kids spread germs around like crazy!

lol, it's so weird you should post this because it seems like a bunch of people have colds now, which is especially weird since it's Summer. I'm one of those people that has a cold. I've had it for more than a week now...maybe I should stop eating ice cream everyday. :frog

Not me, but all of a sudden this year I went back to having trouble with my nose stopping up at night time while sleeping.

Years back I had lots of trouble with this, but for about the last 5 to 8 years it had gone away, I'm not glad its back.

Its running its course through our entire community. It seems to get worse every year.

We have all been sick with it, and my allergies are killing me this year also. :sad

The bad thing is its just not a couple days, it lasts at least a week or longer. :sad

No colds but my allergies have been hitting me. Even my Dad, who never had any allergies before, has been affected this year.

We are usually able to avoid summer colds with the natural stuff we take = if it hits it usually only lasts a day or two, thankfully. I think summer colds are worse than winter ones! Now, allergies are always with me.... :sad

I dunno, I took so much Airborne it wasn't even funny (that's natural isn't it?) but it didn't protect me from the sneezes and snot of my little guys! LOL

Luckily I was able to get on antibiotics early so its just annoying and uncomfortable, but so far not really laying me out like it did my kids.

Airborne has some natural stuff in it, but not the amount, nor all the same stuff, that we take. But that's just us. We still get sick at times, just get better quicker, thankfully. I hate it when my chest is filled! Coughing deep hurts my ribs for days!!

Yes, summer colds are definetly worse than winter colds! My allergies have been bothering me lately but not terrible so far.

I read in a Centers for Science in the Public Interest publication that Airborne is completely inefffective. It said all the Airborne's claims, when tested, were proven to be false.
