This is the most ridiculous, most blasphemous "preaching" I've ever heard in my life. If you can get passed the first couple minutes and really listen to what this guy is saying, you will hear him speak of what sounds like demon possession, astral projection or demon impersonation of himself.....all under the disguise of "Christianity". It is scary to think that anyone like this could have a "ministry" and that anyone would be blind enough to follow him.........apparently, though not surprising, he is friends with Todd Bentley. I'm afraid this kind of nonsense doesn't appear to be going away, and it even seems to be gaining momentum.............come quickly Lord Jesus!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec91wvUY7Yo

I have a question that I was just thinking about last night after I'd posted this thread......
How is it that these so-called preachers can say the things they do and that God does not immediately wipe them out? Seriously, I'm surprised and shocked the Lord does not rise up against them because they CLAIM to be Christian preachers and to be doing God's work. Can someone explain this to me?

Yuck! His "yoin, yoin, yoin" would get me if nothing else did! "Fat, friar tuck BARTENDER angels" follow us. The man is sick.

bz - punishment will come in eternity. People who choose to follow this will find that, also. He has given us His Word and if people choose to ignore it, they will swallow this kind of tripe (and other stuff that doesn't name the name of Christ). It is sad, it makes us angry. Romans 2 says:
But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
6Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
7To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
8But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
9Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Yes, such is indeed horrible.

Scripture commands us to expose false preachers and to separate ourselves from such.

God will punish them in due time. Meanwhile, such are used to expose those who are not true Christians, to test true Christians, etc.

We are commanded to pray for wisdom. We are commanded to be discerning and to try the spirits. We are to check everything by Scripture.

Sadly, there are all too many who just want to hear what tickles their ears and won't check Scripture to discover whether it's actually true or not.

"Deuteronomy 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul."

God uses false teachers like that to help weed out those who do not love his Word and his person. When someone follows a unbiblical teacher like that they are showing what is in their heart.

False Teachers should be ashamed of themselves. A month a go on a Sunday Morning my parents had that Joel osteen on. All his sermon was all about is to encourage yourself. Just encouraging yourself. Not encouraging yourself to read the Bible and attend church and stuff. However encourage yourself of worldly things like a Job and college and something. My husband and I was shocked to hear the title and my parents was wondering why we didn't have him on.

What's confusing is how a guy who's seemed to have flipped his top and is way off doctrinally is linking to a website under "Locate God" that gives a good gospel presentation, which includes repentance. :huh:

I have not watched the link, just read this thread. God would have chastised him if he was a child of God - the fact that he can get away with wacky teachings or behaviour is proof that he does not truly know God.

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

So, if he were a real Christian then God would punish him harshly? No Christian would teach the stuff he is. Is that the reason Annanias and Saphira were punished so severely and others in the Bible--because they were true followers?

Yes, God won't let His children get away with open and blatant sin.

Thanks for the response, Jerry. I'm sure glad that God is patient and has mercy for the undeserving, but I sure hate to see people like these "preachers" not only teach false doctrine, but blatantly take their followers down the occultic pathway and call it Christianity. Do you think these preachers are deceived into thinking they are really Christians, or do you think they know the difference?

I believe there are both. Some people get into "religion" for the sake of what they consider easy work and easy money. They love the attention and prestige and they love being able to ask for money and folks sending it to them right away. They know they are fakes and they don't care.

Then there are those who are deceived just like those who hold to a false religion (Catholics, Mormons, Muslims, etc.). They believe they are right with God and doing what is right but they have allowed themselves to be blinded. These are the ones I feel most sad for because one day they will be proclaiming to the Lord of all they did for Him and the Lord will say He never knew them, that they must depart to Hell.

Yeah, when I think of the first group you mentioned......I think of Joel Olsteen. I really wonder about these signs and wonders people who seek after New Age occult type experiences and call it from God. I'm particularly concerned about it when they ask the people in the audience to put their hands up and ask these "angels of fire" etc. to "fall" on them or "possess" them or to "fill them with drunken glory". It almost sounds like they are trying to impart demons to people or something. Can that be??
