Hi! I'm Celina and I'm back!

I joined the forum back in 2012. And I remembered being part of this forum and decided to come back.

Things have been rocky. God is gracious enough to welcome me back into the flock.

I have backslidden and lived a life not glorfying God. Realized how i messed my life, I run back to the Father.

I want to seek God again and have the same passion I did when I first got converted.

Thanks for reading. May God bless you.

Hi Celina... Are you attending a good church there in the Philippines?

Hi 1611mac,

I actually don't.

I stopped going to church for a while.

I used to attend this bible baptist church. The doctrinal statement of the church was okay. But sunday's sermons were somehow always about tithes or about the pastor's experiences.

I've grown cold there and I believe that's one of the reasons I kind of "got tired". I felt like I was alone. Like no one understood me. People thought I was too radical. I'm not justifying my rebellion/falling away. It's my mistake.

But right now, I long for the peace and the fellowship with God. I just attended a church. It's not baptist church. It's quite an evangelical mega church. I'm there for the small groups only to be honest.

Hey, Celina. Glad to have you back with us! Where do you live? Maybe between us, someone knows of a good church near you.

Friends of ours just started a Baptist mission in Taguig City. Are you anywhere near there?

Welcome back Celina.

May the Lord bless your efforts in coming back in fellowship with the Lord.

Very shortly after I got saved (in January 1972), while in the Air Force, I was temporarily (two months), stationed at Clark Air Force Base, Angeles City, Philippines. I forgot the name of the church I attended as I was only at Clark a short period of time and was able to only attend the church I found a few times. But, I do remember the love of the missionary and the fine fellowship of the Filipino church members. The Filipino Christians at that church were a blessing to me and my new walk as a Christian.

It is our hope that the Lord will lead you to a church that will help your walk with the Lord.

And, I do hope that our fellowship, and discussions, will together will be a blessing to us all.

I well remember you and often wondered how you were doing.  I remember mentioning a few churches in your area but you had trouble traveling at the time.

Our local church supports 4 missionaries, their churches are on the islands of Luzon and Leyte.  I've met Eddie Galyean and his family if memory serves and they're ministering to Erdaneta City at present.  I believe they may have started churches closer or in Manila and Olongapo about 5 years ago.

Oh they are far from me. I was able to find a good church (doctrinal statement-wise). But I find the preaching not so good. By that I mean, it was always about preaching and the pastor's life experience instead of God's word. Somehow I feel they focus on God's material blessings too.

Hi! Where in Taguig? I live in Rizal. I can go there maybe it'll take me 1.5 to 2 hours of travel.

Thank you!

if you contact them I'm sure the Galyeans can point you in the right direction.  Please pray on this, a local new testament church isn't to be chosen without much prayer.  It may require you to relocate as it did me.

Celina, here is the address:

Mel-Rose Building, Unit no. 19, 6 Gen. A Luna St., Tuktukan
Taguig

And the phone number: 63 915 494 8573

I'm sure if you contact the Hardeckers, they can help you find a church closer to you if this is too much travel time. Let them know Mrs. DePriest told you about them.
