Hi people, Im Micki Harjo...wife of Bobby Harjo, a full blood Seminole/Creek indian. We have been Missionaries on the Navajo Reservation since 2000. I have 7 wonderful kids, an amazing little granddaughter and a beautiful daughter-in-law. All of our kids work with us on the Mission field right now, although one is called to Evangelism, one is eventually going to take over a church on the Ute Reservation and one is headed to Nepal/Tibet to be a missionaries helper in 2010. We are out of Maranatha Baptist Church of Western Oaks in Bethany Oklahoma. (for those of you who don't know, thats about 2 miles from Oklahoma Baptist College and less then 4 miles from Heartland.) our sister churches. Our pastor is Bro. Charley O'Daniel. He has been a pastor for over 30 years....most of which I've been there. haha I started going to that church when I was only 12 years old, and met my future husband there when I was just 16. First we worked in Shiprock, New Mexico with a national pastor Jimmy Walters. (yes, we are a sovereign Nation) then my husband started a church in Red Valley Arizona that we stayed at for about 7 years. He is the chaplain of the Northern Navajo Nation Medical Center (the Hospital services over 300,000 Natives) and the Chaplain of the jail. My daughter Rachel is the chaplains assistant to both facilities and has been certified to go anywhere she is needed. She teaches in the ladies side of the prison twice a week, and my son David preaches one story of the building while my husband preaches the other. Bobby also goes to the Juvenile Rehabilitation Center for alcoholic and substance abused children ages 12-18, and my son Jimmy recently had an opportunity to start going into the Senior Center once a week here in town. Just about 3 weeks ago the Lord opened a door for us to start a church in Beclabito, New Mexico...which is only about 15 miles from where we live. The services have been wonderful, and we are anxious to see what the Lord has in store for us in that section of the Reservation.
Please pray for us as we continue the work here, and for our children to grow to be on fire for the Lord and do so much more than we ever could.

Yes the OBL is owned by Bro Matt but managed completely seperate by women only. There are some ladies over there that are not here, but many who are. Its not quite as busy as this board but it has been getting alot busier the past several months. So far we have a pretty good spirit over there!
