OH' date=' but this is of the world and will be shown in a place that the world gathers to watch other worldly anti-God shows.....terrible, just terrible.[/quote']

Well, I won't be going to the theatre to watch it...will wait til it's out on dvd. Methinks the sarcasm wasn't really necessary...

Yes, I understand. My comments were meant to be a bit ridiculous as so many of the comments on this board go way beyond in a similar manner. In other words; I was pushing a point using an over the top snipe! It was not meant to hurt you as an individual, my apologies for that.

From the makers of Facing the Giants.

That does look like a good movie! Possible tear-jerker, too! I just watched the trailer. :smile

I have a feeling it will be a little corny with some sub-par acting. Still, I'd like to see it sometime but I very seriously doubt it will be in any theaters in Asia. :frog
I'll have to wait for the DVD.

Kevin, I'm sure it probably will be a little cornball...but I think it's great that a movie that supports marriage, and shows how to deal with problems from marriage. That alone is something that amazes me!! I'm sure there will be no theatres in Asia showing it. I don't think it's going to be the blockbuster Batman was.

trc - FTR, your comments didn't hurt me, honest!! And this movie is produced by a Christian (or at least religious) company...

I really can't wait til it comes out. I absolutely loved Facing the Giants and would like to now see some of the other movies this director has done' date=' i.e. Flywheel.[/quote']

Ditto. A good, clean movie is what everyone needs, IMHO. :thumb

My sister said the same thing as Kevin...about "corny" but, I really don't care...b/c the plot is what is important to me. I love Christian movies. BTW, Facing the Giants was written and produced by a Baptist College. :smile

One "local" theater will be showing this movie. Our pastor has recommended we go see the movie and specifically thank them for showing this movie.

It seems the theater manager is wanting to bring more family friendly movies to the theater but can only do so if such movies draw enough patrons.

These movies were produced by a southern Baptist church in Georgia. We bought the first movie "Flywheel" a long time ago, before "Facing the Giants" ever came out. We enjoyed it so much, and it was very uplifting and encouraging. I look beyond the acting to the message. And the acting wasn't always that bad. We have tried to purchase Christian movies over the years as an alternative to the hollywood stuff and we have built a home library of good, wholesome Christian films for the family and to share with others. I recommend Ken Anderson films, the Christiano brothers films, and of course, the Unusual Films (Bob Jones). For the small kiddies, the Mr. Button films are great.
