Now your saying, that angels hunger and thirst just like we do?

Why would you put words in my mouth that I did not say?

False accusation.

Well, if you can't keep up with my reading & page turning, you might be better off not to read over my shoulder, & read from your on Bible turning your own pages.  ;)

Well, this post is coming to an End.  and I have not found the answer that I hope for.

Dear TGL, we are men and woman of faith in God here, but we do not have answers to all you question. For the mystery of God, is so large our minds cannot comprehend everything he have store for us. We will try our best to answer your questions. This was why I said, there were no wrong answers... remember. When you can say this, then you will be strong in the faith.  :th_tiphat:

Topic question: Can you explain the Lord's Supper in heaven for me?

According to scripture, the Lord's Supper never takes place in heaven.

When Christ said that he wouldn't drink of the fruit of the vine until he drinks it new in God's kingdom, he was celebrating the Passover.

When God instituted the Passover, he said that it would be observed...for ever (Exodus 12:14).

Christ was referring to the Passover, and the Passover will be observed during the Millennial Reign of Christ on earth (Ezekiel 45:21).

The only "supper" that appears to take place in heaven will be the Marriage Supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-9).

Coming to an end because your not getting the answer you hope for! Why not go to the Bible so it can you what to believe, not go to it to get answers you hope to believe?

Will we eat and drink in Heaven? Yes or No

Which of the three questions are you asking?

1) Will we be able to eat if we so choose?

2) Will we have to eat?

3) Will it be part of the normal activity?

Will we eat and drink in Heaven? Yes or No

This is my opinion based upon scripture as best as I understand...

Yes, we will eat in heaven...but the only indication of us eating in heaven will be at the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.  This will be after we have received our glorified bodies likened unto Christ's glorified body.

Heaven is not our eternal home.  After the Millennial Reign of Christ, there will be a new heaven, new earth, and the new Jerusalem. Our eternal home is the new Jerusalem (along with the new earth)...where God will dwell with man.

As far as whether we will eat in heaven while we have only our spiritual bodies, I can't say for sure because I don't know of any scripture that says we will or won't. My personal view is...no, we won't eat while in our spiritual bodies...unless the Lord wants us to.  However, I do believe that we will eat after receiving our glorified bodies.

As was mentioned, there is the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. I doubt seriously we will just be sitting there. I think Jesus called it that because we will be doing what He knew people do at marriage suppers:eat.

Add to that the Tree of Life with the different fruits. Fruit is for eating.

Remember when Jesus ate to show He wasn't a spirit? That tells us that there can be eating in our new bodies.

Will there be on a regular basis? Who knows? We will know all when we get there...including whether we will eat or not (we will be in perfect bodies, so it's doubtful any eating will be necessary...)

So this Lords supper is during the 1000 years in the flesh not in the spirit?

I was just pointing out that Jesus said he would not partake of the bread and fruit of the vine until his kingdom arrives which doesn't occur until AFTER we receive out new bodies. Remember, your title was to explain the Lord's supper in heaven and then you asked about how a spirit could eat food. To me you seemed to be asking how we could hold the Lord's supper in heaven if we are nothing but spirits. I just pointed out that we will not hold the Lord's supper until Christ's kingdom is established on earth.

Until the time of Christ's coming kingdom there's nothing that suggests we will have bodies. If anything, the scriptures suggest the opposite. At this time we will be given new bodies which will be spiritual bodies (I Cor. 15:54).

To be honest the bible doesn't say a whole lot about heaven, where we will be in heaven, what we will be doing and what will be taking place there until the tribulation begins. Other than us being with the Lord not much else is said.

The marriage supper of the Lamb will be after we receive new bodies.

Umm... no. Where there is truth, there is also falsehood. That means there are wrong answers. We may not always know (because the Bible does not always reveal) what is truth and what is false, but rest assured that there are both. If one really thinks there are no wrong answers, then that one is falling prey to the relativism of this day.

Honestly, I cannot think of any place in Scripture that definitively answers the question you want to have answered (will we have to eat in heaven - which is a different question from whether the Lord's Supper is celebrated in heaven). You may just have to chalk it up to something God has not chosen to reveal to us. We'll find out sooner or later, anyways. :wink

Sounds like your mind was already made up on the type of answer you wanted.
