Reading a small book and the second paragraph in the preface says, (in capital letters),
"THE TEACHING PRESENTED HEREIN DOES NOT APPLY TO MODERNISTIC OR WORLDLY CHURCHES, BUT ONLY TO BIBLE-BELIEVING, FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES".

The subject is one of the controversial topics here. Best not to mention it. ;)

I read books of a "controversial" nature all the time. Nothing wrong with that, that's one of the ways we learn. How can we consider if we may want to read this book if we don't know the name? Posting the name of the book wouldn't be an endorsement nor an assault upon the topic unless you were to add one with it.

I didn't go specifically looking for the subject but came across it looking for something else entirely.

And trust me...... it is not worth the fuss and angst it would cause.

I actually found it amusing that you so rarely read such a warning in books today. Probably because most authors don't want to restrict possible sales.

Don't come on and start a topc that yuo're going to ultimately keep in secret. That's dishonest of you. Its like telling somone that I know a great joke, its really funny, but I can't tell you because you might not like it.

Either spill it, or you shouldn't have begun the topic in the first place.

Alright, send us all a private message with the title with the stipulation that if we mention it here on the forum you'll send a SWAT team to our home like those who google pressure cookers in one room and backpacks in another on their wireless networks.

"THE TEACHING PRESENTED HEREIN DOES NOT APPLY TO MODERNISTIC OR WORLDLY CHURCHES, BUT ONLY TO BIBLE-BELIEVING, FUNDAMENTAL CHURCHES".

I am aware of a book that delivers the following warning in the closing line of the second to last paragraph (the ninth paragraph) of the preface (not with any special form of emphasis):

"I have written, not for those who desire to be thrilled or entertained, nor for those who are committed to the world's philosophies and ideas, but for those who desire to walk in our Lord's truth."

I am willing to provide the title of the book to those who may be interested.  However, I must warn that there will be an element of self-advertisement in doing so.

"not for those who desire to be thrilled or entertained" <--I can's always claim this

"nor for those who are committed to the world's philosophies and ideas" <--Not committed, probably corrupted somewhat

"but for those who desire to walk in our Lord's truth" <-- a hardy :amen:
