Hi my name is Dave and I moved to Kansas in September from Kentucky to take a pastorate at Northwest Baptist Church in Leavenworth. I graduated from high school in 1978 and went into the USAF for 4 years then went into the ARMY for 7 years. I was born in Naha Okinawa, I was saved at First Baptist Church in Wiapahu Hawaii in 1972, I surrendered to preach in 1986 in Baumholder Gremany. Received a Medical Discharge from the ARMY in 1989. Went to Tabernacle Baptist College in Greenville SC from 89 to 93. While at Bible College I Directed the Tabernacle Children's Home. Then started pastoring in 93 and teaching in different Bible Colleges from then to present.

My wife and I will have been married for 30 years come Jan 29. We have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren

Howdy Dave.

While you were born in Naha Okinawa, my wife and I were saved during a preaching service at Maranatha Baptist Church near Naha Okinawa and two of our three children were born at the Naval Hospital at Okinawa!

Welcome on board brother! (married going on 30 years here as well)

Was Bro Ed Gibson the pastor then?

Yes, and that is who's preaching we heard that we got saved, baptized and served under.........He's still a kicking and they just had the big anniversary of the church this past summer. Wish I could have been there.

I must admit this is not the place we would have picked, but we know this is the place that the Lord picked so we are very happy here and it is now home.
