Darin "Doogie" Weiks is a high school football celebrity in central Wisconsin ? thanks to playing one game that was his first and also his last. "I never thought it would happen," the Athens High School senior said Friday. "This is very special and the best thing in my life. I wanted to play football pretty bad." Weiks, 17, has a rare, genetic liver disease that prevented him from playing the sport ? until Thursday night's 33-19 win over Abbotsford. A friend on the team suggested that Weiks, who plays on the Bluejays' basketball and baseball teams…

If you go to http://www.heavens-above.com they give you all the tools you need to maximize sky gazing. What I love to do, given my time restraints, is to watch for and catch uritium flares. You can put in your address and it will give you times and dates and locations when you can catch one. Keep in mind, that the brighter something is, the lower the number. For an example, something that is rated "5" is much dimmer then something "-5" -5 is very bright... uritium flares get as bright at -8. At 5:04:23pm on monday, I have a -8 flare that is going to pass over me and I plan to catch it. You can even have fun with people. You can very very easily using the sky…

Pa. woman ordered out of chemical-free 'bubble' By MICHAEL RUBINKAM, Associated Press Writer Michael Rubinkam, Associated Press Writer ? 43 mins ago AP ? ALLENTOWN, Pa. ? Ten hours a day, every day, Elizabeth Feudale-Bowes confines herself to a galvanized-steel-and-porcelain shed outside her house. Inside are a toilet, a metal cabinet, a box spring with the metal coils exposed, and a pile of organic cotton blankets. Aluminum foil covers the window. The place is as austere as a prison cell ? but it's also her sanctuary from an outside world that she says makes her violently ill. She and her husband call the structure "the bubble." This bubble, though, may be about to …

"Test all things; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil." 1 Thessalonians 5:21 ? 22 A Celebration of Evil Halloween is a religious day, but it is not Christian. Tom Sanguinet, a former high priest in Wicca has said: "The modern holiday that we call Halloween has its origins in the full moon closest to November 1, the witches' new year. It is a time when the spirits (demons) are supposed to be at their peak power and revisiting planet earth? Halloween is purely and absolutely evil, and there is nothing we ever have, or will do, that would make it acceptable to the Lord Jesus." Day of Death Halloween has strong roots in paganism and witchcraf…

Hey ~ I wanted to post this...because it has been on my heart for awhile. With the issue about Obama and "gun control"...I thought I would start this thread. Does anyone remember the TV show that was on 2 seasons ago? It was called: Jericho? Well...they took that show off of Prime Time TV the first season it was on. Then...an overwhelming number of viewers wanted it back. I am one of them. They took it off...yet again. I will find a link to post if anyone is interested. It just seems that the government wants citizens blind to everything. Jericho was a show that made people think about the End Times. Of course, Holly weird would rather control our brains w…

Wanted to let anyone in my area know that the week of October 19 we are having Evangelist Dr. Chuck Cofty here! He is a highly decorated retired marine and we are having God and Country Sunday that Sunday and then revival services all week. He is one amazing evangelist....anyone is welcome to stop by for a service if you are in the area! We had to schedule him like three years ago to get him here. But he is the most gracious and humble and sweet man you'd ever meet. The best is how he talks about his dear wife....

Posted on Oct 14, 2008 | by Michael Foust SAN FRANCISCO (BP)--The debate in California over whether "gay marriage" legalization would impact what is taught in public schools heated up Oct. 10, when a San Francisco first-grade class took a field trip to city hall to help celebrate a lesbian wedding. The 18 first graders -- from Creative Arts Charter School, a public school -- took the field trip to surprise their teacher, Erin Carder, who had just "married" her partner, Kerri McCoy, the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Following the ceremony the children tossed pink rose petals and blew bubbles on the women, the newspaper said. San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom officia…

Anyone know where I can find coupon codes or anything for the Prudential Hall in Newark? We'd love to go see the Canadian Brass this year around Christmastime with our older two boys but I'm hoping to find a discount....the website I was on showed full price tickets but also had a place for promo codes. I looked on Google but couldn't find any. Does anyone know who regularly has promos or any contacts I could find with cheaper tickets? Here is the link I was checking out: http://ev12.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerc ... =&appCode=
