Had the privilege of going to New Zealand early this year.
It is a Beautiful place.
A very religious place in some respects but with little evidence of the Lord.

OK, what does this mean?

When an area is as humid as NWI gets

The worst humidity I ever experienced was Guam while in the Air Force. They had heat elements in our lockers to keep our clothes from mildewing.

NWI is Northwest Indiana.

I've heard Guam is very humid.  I also just heard this morning that a friend of mine who is a missionary in Belize is having serious issues with her asthma due to the humidity there.  She grew up in humidity here in NWI (see above), but it's way worse there - probably no relief from it during the summer (it's their first summer there).

John - I agree totally, I'm ready to move to a humidity-free state, too!  My mom lives on the peninsula in WA, and there is relatively low to no humidity unless the temps get up to around 90, then there is a bit.  It's only 79 here now and it's like breathing soup out there...

Isn't it grand that Heaven will be humidity free (either that, or in our perfect bodies, it won't bother us!   )

Come up to AB! No humidity up here! Except for this year that is, with all the storms. :frog:

I was on a tour of the Provincial Archives last Saturday, and they took us into the vaults. The tour guide told us that in most places, and he used Toronto as an example, they have to pump humidity out of the vaults to control the climate. Alberta is so dry that they actually have to pump humidity into the vaults in order to maintain optimum levels.

Getting out of bed this morning I somehow managed to hurt the toe next to my big toe on my left foot. I still can't figure out how it happened but somehow I bent that toe backwards, at which point there was a very loud POP and I fell back on the bed in pain. It's all purple around the joint closest to the toenail and it's tender and sore.

OWWWWW!  Just reading that hurt my toe!  Hope it gets better soon!

It hurt just typing about it! Remembering that POP makes me want to flinch in pain.

I think I'm going to kick back and rest my toe and read for awhile because it's starting to throb sitting here.

Ouch! Wonder what you popped?

I was running up my stairs Monday, and fell quite heavily. While falling, I thrust my arms out to try to catch myself, and managed to scrape the bottom of my lower forearm along the little metal thingy that holds up the handrail (on the bottom of the handrail). Don't know how I did it, but I scraped that thing so hard that, although I didn't break any skin (just a nice long scrape), I managed to actually break the metal thingy in pieces. Got a humdinger of a black bruise showing up now...

What I thought, & what is was referring to, :frog: , they don't have the high humidity we do.

Houston & Galveston has bad humidity, yet Guam has them beat. One thing I like was their winter weather, its never cold on Guam, i could live without cold winter weather. Of course snow birds would not know what I' speaking about.

Pain is pain & it hurts.

I've stumped a toe & broke it tow different times, amazing at the pain it can cause.

Wow! That sounds like a nasty fall. You must be made of tough stuff to break the metal thingy while only bruising yourself! I only managed to hurt myself, the floor seems just fine. The POP was actually more like a really horrible cracking sound, that seriously creeps me out just thinking about it. Somehow I bent that toe at the joint all the way backward and it made a popping, cracking sound kinda like a walnut cracking only louder and quicker and more painful.
