I just want to go home! Holiday homesickness hit today when the family called

I have never been homesick like this... I have felt it a few times for a little bit but I actually cried when they called. I had to fight the tears when they were on the phone and cried when we got off the phone

It's good training for those first holidays after your (future) kids move away and you and your (future) wife are alone again without "the kids." My wife misses our kids terribly during the holidays....

I am young and will hopefully be engaged this christmas season! I am so excited about it to! I have everything planned out and ready to go.

My parents asked me about it the week that I was gonna talk to them about it. I was kinda surprised. And then mom offered me her engagement ring, which was grandma's. So I am super excited
