It was SO good! There was a bit left over, so this morning there was chicken and waffles for breakfast. Yum, yum!

I don't like the bones. I usually roast chicken in the oven.  I prick the skin all over and especially near the bones, then I sprinkle a litte olive oil on the shin, then sprinkle a little ground cellery and a little ground bay leaf, then rub it in.  Even better on a rotisserie in the oven, in which case I put some water with a chicken stock cube in the dripping tray and use the product as the gravy.

Had fish stew/vegetable stew for lunch.  I picked a large beefsteak tomato from our greenhouse which weighed over 1kg. we sliced it and added persillade (parsley garlic and shallot) and grilled it and I had bacon with it and Kay had mushrooms.

Lamb steak cooked in mint gravy.  Roast red onions, butternut and celeriac. Steamed potatoes,  carrot and French beans.
