Members Sophie Posted January 5, 2007 Members Posted January 5, 2007 I just received an email from Sojourner who is a member here, asking for prayer for his Mom. She is being taken by ambulance tomorrow from the hospital in her home town in north central PA to Erie, which is about 120 miles away, for a heart cath and possibly a stent. She has been having chest pains off and on for a couple weeks, and went to ER yesterday. She had an EKG which was normal, and a stress test which she was unable to finish, and which showed a possible blockage. She will be 72 in March. Please pray for her, and for Sojourner as he drives his Dad out to Erie tomorrow to be with her. I know he will appreciate all your prayers. Quote

Members Sophie Posted January 6, 2007 Author Members Posted January 6, 2007 Thanks everyone for your prayers. Just received this email from Sojourner: Hi Peggy, I'm here in the hospital waiting room. Mother had to have open heart surgery yesterday afternoon....triple bypass. We stayed here in Erie overnight. As of now, she's still in ICU on a ventilator, but they hope to take her off it soon and get her moved to a regular room. She seems to be in a lot of pain. We certainly weren't expecting all this, but better to catch it now than after a heart attack. So keep praying. We need to go home this afternoon, but Joy & I will probably come back out tomorrow. I hate to leave her alone. Catch ya later. Thank you for praying. In Him, Sojourner Quote

Members Sojourner Posted January 7, 2007 Members Posted January 7, 2007 Thank you all for your prayers. Mother has developed a fever of 103 tonight and will be on the ventilator till sometime tomorrow (Sunday). We came home for the night and are going back out in the morning. Thankfully the weather has cooperated for the long drive out and back(130 miles each way), although snow is forecast for Mon.-Wed. But "safety is of the Lord" and He has been so good to us. I imagine we will be staying out there for at least 2 more days. Thanks again for all the prayers! God bless each of you! Quote
