Members Will Posted January 18, 2007 Members Posted January 18, 2007 A young girl from my home church in Delaware was in a horse riding accident today. She was airlifted to Christiana Hospital(the best hospital in Delaware) and is in the Critical Care Unit with brain trauma(bleeding) and other injuries. Apparently a car spooked the horse and she was thrown. She was supposed to be going to HAC tomorrow. Quote

Members Newlife84 Posted January 18, 2007 Members Posted January 18, 2007 I was thrown from a horse when I was 13 but not hurt to bad. I will be praying for her. Quote
Members Anon Posted January 18, 2007 Members Posted January 18, 2007 Yeah my sister was thrown from a horse twice...one time shattered her elbow and one time she should have been in a neck brace but wasn't. Dangerous. :( Quote
Members Will Posted January 19, 2007 Author Members Posted January 19, 2007 Update-The young girl I mentioned in the prayer request yesterday is doing better. She is awake, and in and out of consciousness. She has some minor bruising on her brain, but at this point it doesn't look like anything major. The doctors plan to take her out of ICU tomorrow if things continue to improve like they have been. They have taken her off of the IV's and other tubes. She does recognize people, and will have conversations...at least until she falls back asleep(which happens a bit suddenly). So all in all, things are improving. Quote
