When I was a kid, the only person in our household who would eat them was my mom. She loved them, and everyone else hated them including me! But in the past 3 years or so I've developed a love for guess what - TOMATOES! And just lately I've found a new delight - roasted tomatoes!! I roast them and then make some toast and spread mayo and roasted tomatoes on it - heavenly!

So, anyone else here a fellow tomato lover??

I love tomatoes!

Unfortunately, my husband and son hates them.

My son will not eat anything with tomatoes, so that's what make him so picky. He doesn't like ketchup, spaghetti, pizza, etc. I have to make those without tomatoes for him. I think he probably allergic to them which could be the reason he avoid them so much. He always complained that tomatoes burns his mouth.

Very few things are better than a sandwich made with homegrown tomatoes, lettuce, a slice of onion, lots of mayo, and several slices of bacon. I prefer those great big man-size whole-wheat Kaiser rolls. :lol

Of all the fruits and veggies that we grow in our gardens the tomato just might be one of the most versatile. I love potatoes, but taters I cannot eat raw. I used to do that but I guess it is something I outgrew. Corn is another universal veggie. :thumb

I hated tomatoes until my hubby started growing them in our backyard garden -- now I love them. I realized then that what I hated was the storebought tomatoes.
