  1. CONGRATS Samer and Rachel! Wonderful news! Wow that was quick! :wink
  2. Thank you for the reminder, Bro. Matt. I still miss Tim. Praying for comfort for Elaine and their son. :pray
  3. Me too! I haven't gone shooting in a long time, and I'm way outta practice. Odd, too, since there's a shooting range not 4 miles from our house. I'm surprised we don't hear gunfire.
  4. Cauliflower cheese!
  5. Thanks for the link! I'll have to check those out. :thumb
  6. This is very good news. :lol (especially to a Houstonian driving during the months of June through September) You've just very accurately described corporate welfare, Jerry -- government helping certain big businesses (the ones with "persistent" lobbyists) with subsidies, etc. True free-market capitalism helps all businesses, not just the big ones.
  7. Cute frog! :lol I used to play in the creek at this park near our home when I was growing up, and my favorite thing to do was try to catch frogs with a mesh strainer. I never caught one that big though!

There was a steep hill on the street where we used to live, and I used to ride down it with no brakes. Thinking back on it, I really thank the Lord for His protection. I was a reckless kid. In fact, that recklessness cost me one whole tooth (which has now been replaced with an implant and crown) and part of another tooth (repaired with bonding that has miraculously lasted 17 years).

I used to have a mountain bike and a 10-speed. I didn't take either one with me when I moved out of my parents' house, so I don't know where either one is. I wish now I had taken one of them.
  12. I'm in Texas and I don't think Okies (blonde or non-blonde) think like that. :lol :Bleh
  13. Yep, ours is too. That's one way to keep it in America! :Green
  14. If these interviews were published in a secular magazine (or even a Christian one) or shown on a major network program, isn't it possible the media edited out anything really substantive she might have said about Christianity? I'm not a fan of HM myself, but I would reserve judgment on anything quoted from her in a magazine or words she spoke during a TV interview. We know the mainstream media is notorious for omitting information they think is politically incorrect.
  15. We had a "cold front" move through here (I can no longer say or write that with a straight face since we live in sub-tropical Houston) this past week, and it was nice because we hardly had to use the A/C. It was especially nice because last week my mom was visiting and helping me paint a couple more rooms in our house, and we were able to open the windows and let fresh air in (and paint fumes out). We've finished painting, and also finished installing new faux wood blinds in 8 windows. The blinds replaced fabric "honeycomb" shades that were difficult if not impossible to clean, and they were ugly too. The blinds are much nicer. :smile They'll keep the kitchen and family/living room cooler...just in time! :lol
  16. The age of something determines whether it's true or not? Did you actually say/post that with a straight face? That is one of the evolutionists' and atheists' main arguments for rejecting the Bible: "It's over 2,000 years old so it can't be true." Please. :roll Besides, being "seen in ancient Christianity" is not a reliable testimony to Catholicism's veracity either. Most of the history books have been written by people who don't even believe the Bible is true, so we can't really consider them authoritative on spiritual matters anyway.
  17. Yep, Janet, you're probably right! Very messy, but delicious! I just wouldn't want to be the one to have to clean all that melted chocolate off the iron!
  18. I saw this on YouTube and had to share it here. I thought y'all might appreciate it since not too many (if any) of us likes the focus around this time of year on the bunny and eggs and all that rot. Anyway, enjoy! :Green [tube]ZCrGnd3ljqA[/tube]
  19. Would the same thing happen if they ate M&M's or Skittles? :Green
  20. Hurray for global warming! :Green
