I have an 11 year old son in public school unfortunately that is doing his best to do what God wants in his life. He is haveing a rough time with some of the kids in his class. For example today a kid was told he could get some play money they use to purchase things from a school store and my son saw him take 100 instead of ten as he was told, I myself would think of this as steeling, my son also saw it this way and finally told the teacher about it and of course he was ridiculed and put down for it. This is just one example of where he is strugling, Please pray for him to have the strength to continue to do the right things. If you have any suggestions or comments for him please post them and I will share them with him. Thank you all.

Oh, Ray, bless his heart! Praise the Lord that he saw the taking as sin! It is a shame that he was ridiculed by it, especially if the teacher was involved!!! *sigh* Doesn't give him much faith in his leadership, does it?

There is a good book that you could get (read it first to see if you think he's ready for it) called Thoughts for Young Men by J.C. Ryle. It is a reealy good book that could be an encouragement for him - for his entire Christian walk, not just while in school.

I would highly recommend that he memorize verses that deal with things like he faced...Eph. 6:10-17 come to mind for starters.

Sorry to hear Ray. I wish i had better ideas. I am afraid i don't me and the missus home school the girls. But, they were pretty hard on others themselves (i'll have to explain myself somewhere down the road, they were adopted).

Just continue to encourage him for doing what is right in God's eyes and not the worlds. He is truly special.
