Let me see... Get the most easiest to clean baby high chair. I had this portable high chair and it was a hassle to take it apart just to clean between the gaps and underneath the seat from spilled milk -- in fact, when you buy a high chair, think about where the milk will flow, and that's how much cleaning you will be doing from all that food and drink spill. even crumbs. And this type of cleaning will be done everyday 3x or more times a day.

and don't bother getting a floor mat for the high chair, stuff still get underneath it..

What do you all think about bottle sterilizers? Bottle Warmers? What are the best brands etc...

dishwasher does a good job for us. My sister used plain boiling water to clean her bottles.

I've been thinking about this topic recently because I thought of another bit of advice. To help prevent diaper rash, use a bit of petroleum jelly on your little one's bum regularly as preventative medicine. This also helps clear up diaper rash because it protects a sore bottom so it can heal.

yes, I had the most difficult time with diaper rash with our son. it only when away when He was potty trained. So yes, put Petroleum jelly BEFORE diaper rash happens, because you'll just have a hard time getting rid of it.

To schedule or not to schedule--yikes! I just caught up on this thread.......I tried to force it on my firstborn.....a colicky, bad reflux baby. I ended up with a fussy disaster. As with Kita, most of my babies have had mild cases of reflux at least. I threw the schedule ought the window for the first 6mo. with my other kids......it was sooooo liberating and I didn't stress so much. Keep good, open communication between you and your hubby and do what works for you and your family, and let the criticism of others who give unsolicited advice go in one ear and right out the other! (especially if it comes from a well-meaning in-law :hide while trying to keep your sweet smile intact, of course) Babies tend to settle into a schedule somewhat of their own by 4 to 5mo. according to how much sleep they need and their individual personality. If you get one that will stay on a rigid schedule without crying a lot, count yourself blessed. I have 7 kiddos.....they have all been different as babies. Some babies require more sleep than others (these are usually the ones who go to bed early eve, sleep all night like a rock, and take naps right up to kindergarten....oh, and are the HARD to wake up teenager!) then there is the other extreme: the one who is a VERY light sleeper, doesn't sleep through the night, wakes up at the crack of dawn and starved, does NOT go to sleep when put down for a nap at their second birthday, lays in bed at night WIDE awake when other kids have been asleep for an hour, and just seems FULL of energy all the time. I have both extremes and a couple in betweens. Fun! Fun! Fun! I've done breastfeeding and bottles, disposable diapers and cloth. I prefer breastfeeding and disposable diapers, and I like the playtex nursers with the disposable bags as well for bottles. Avent also makes a version as well--I think it attaches to their breast pump too, but I'm not positive. I love all the good advice you've gotten so far from others. Babies are such a wonder and blessing from the Lord! I held and cuddled our babies a lot, and used a swing, bouncy seat, baby sling etc. If you sew, a baby sling can be made quite reasonably. Congratulations again on your little one!

Maybe it's about time for you to get baby fever! :Bleh Yes, it's a dimple. I don't know where our girls get it because neither of us have dimples, but our older daughter has one dimple, and I'm noticing that our baby daughter has the same thing. I haven't seen a full blown smile from her yet, so i don't know if she's got just the one dimple like her sister or if she'll have two. I've seen hints that maybe there'll be two, but I'm not sure. I'm anxious to get her smiling big for me!
