How is this twisting the meaning of words? And on what do you base the assertion of the definition being held as only alcoholic for 2000 years?

Also, "new wine" in Acts 2 is not the oinos the rest of this study/discussion is talking about, but rather it is glueukos, which means a sweet, or freshly pressed, wine which is specifically unfermented. Rather than being drunk, the more likely implication is being on a sugar high.

Because their us no teaching that wine was non-alcoholic

Sugar high???? Are you kidding me?!?!! Dude, not being rude , but I just lost all respect for your argument!! That is suuuuch a stretch

There's no teaching that it wasn't either; that's an argument from silence. In fact no one that I've been able to find in at least the first three centuries even touched on the issue, likely because it wasn't an overly important or contentious one at the time, especially when compared to the issues of the day. You didn't want to use extra-biblical writings for this discussion so I've purposely left all of the out (modern and ancient), even though you prefer to rely on the lack of historical specifically about alcohol versus juice. Although, if the linguistic differentiation did not occur until the last century or so as I stated, there would be no discussion on it whatsoever anyway.

You did, however, want to use Hebrew and Greek and everything I've said is 100% accurate in that respect. You may disagree with the the interpretation of things such as a sugar high or the emotions of the governor of the wedding feast, but you can't really argue with the linguistic/historical-linguistic facts. You would need some pretty good evidence to refute anything I said about what the different words mean, to include that their semantic ranges included both fermented and unfermented juice and the different word used in Acts 2. Those are just facts we have to work with. If you interpret them differently, that's fine; let's talk about that. However, the facts are facts regardless of our point of view.

I would guess that it's only a stretch because you don't think the facts I presented are accurate.

Why would a Christian want to exercise their liberty to drink Alcoholic Beverages?

What would be God's will on a Christian taking liberty to drink alcoholic beverages?

Is someone who uses the liberty to drink alcoholic beverages stronger spiritually?

We lost respect for your argument years ago, Jeffrey.

I think you don't respect what you don't understand

Why would a Christian want to exercise their liberty to drink Alcoholic Beverages?  because we can (Deut 14:26)

What would be God's will on a Christian taking liberty to drink alcoholic beverages? that we give him the glory and thank Him for it

Is someone who uses the liberty to drink alcoholic beverages stronger spiritually? are they stronger if they eat a steak dinner? or how about some fish?

If you were not a christian the world would call you hedonist.

Oh my.  I better not have sex again, or at least cut it down.  It's too pleasurable.  Don't get mad.  I'm being sarcastic.  :-)

Interesting......

Not surprising though.....

Not aimed at you directly, but an observation. Seems par for these types of threads that someone eventually starts getting personal.

I assure you my intent was in no way to insult.
