I didn't even feel like crying last night at all.

But this morning I read this local article, and started feeling teary eyed:

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20081 ... reets.html

I guess because we are really a minority now...the unrecognized minority...like the Jews. We have to fend for ourselves now, with God's help of course. We are a few Christians among a mass of unsaved, heathen people who think we are crazy idiots. We really should not forget this as we go about our daily lives.

Yeah...and if I did my mother's genealogy correctly years ago---I am a Jew and a born-again Christian. Nope, I am NOT ashamed to say it, either. :smile

The heathens will get into their binds again and again---and who will they call on? Yep, you got it---the faithful Christians. :bonk: It NEVER ceases to amaze me!!! Call the "crazy" Christians they'll help anyone. LOL.

Everyone is just numb around here. Although, I talked to my mom in her nursing home this morning and she said the elderly were sobbing and sobbing. I thought---oh, b/c McCain lost? Nope---she was sickened. They were crying because Obama won, Tears of joy. :roll She couldn't even talk...she was so sick of the whole thing. She said thank God it is all over. Now if things go wrong they can blame another president. LOL...the same thing Suzy said. :Green

I really hope that my baby sister has recovered. My brother and I figured out that she was upset that McCain didn't win last night. She took out her frustrations on me over the phone. hehe. Now, she has that fiery, Irish, temper. I only have a bit of it. :Green She is a hard core Republican. A complete Right Wing Republican to the hilt!! My dad taught us well. :thumb She is so mad at OH---it is unbelievable.

Well---I look at the bright side of things, here. At least Issue 6 (Gambling in the state) failed by a landslide. We aren't total morons...after all. :cool

I know what you mean about winning souls, church growth and us being a very small minority in America. At times during the year it really seems our church is growing but then all of a sudden the number of attendees can drop dramatically and may stay like that for weeks and then pick up some. We gain new members each year but the actual number of those attending services any given Sunday tends to be rather steady (minus the wild jumps down from time to time).

As for the threat of Obama being a target, that's a given. It's not likely so much a threat from white racists as it is the constant threat of someone wanting to get the president, but now added to this are those nuts who want to make history by killing the first black president, and then add to that those who might like to try and spark a race war in this country (various Muslims, Muslim countries and terrorist groups, those who want to usher in some sort of apocolypse, other enemy countries, etc.) in order to divert American attention from around the world and possibly bring America to her knees.

The Secret Service have a tough and dangerous job to perform in protecting this president.

Lets not let bleak get the best of us, one day we will be walking on streets of gold.

But that said we all know the outcome for this world is just plain bleak, nothing by doom & gloom. The beginning of the end actually started many years ago. The thing is, this path is just getting easier to see by God's children as it all is coming together here in what seems to be the last days for this earth.

14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;

18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;

19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.

Gen 3:14-19 (KJV)

I honestly don't see an assassination attempt. It doesn't fit.

Actually, in an interview, Michelle O said that BO, as a black man, risks getting shot every time he goes to the gas station...

You are right, Jerry8. We do have Heaven to look forward to, and I am so thankful!

I just love America so much - it breaks my heart to see so many people hornswaggled by this guy...I saw just a clip of his acceptance speech (makes me ill to listen to him, so I don't do any more than I have to), saw people mouthing "Amen," smiling, tearing up, nodding vigorously. ANYTHING HE WANTS, people will approve. We are going to see just a small nibble of how people will treat the anti-Christ. *shudder*

I see the race issue as just beginning, John. Have you ever heard of Louis Farrakhan? He is telling people that he thinks Obama is the Messiah.

Oh puh-leeze. Christians have a bigger risk of being shot in America than a black man. Especially the gas stations OBAMA goes to. Like he pumps gas in the projects?!

I listened to McCain...not Obama. Its true, about the antichrist! People are willingly blind to so many things if they tell themselves they want to like someone. I suppose Satan is already in the process of his deceptions.....

Oh, I know - I thought the exact same thing...and then I thought that her statement was disingenious at best...most of the time, murder of blacks is done by blacks - at least in Gary, Michigan City and Chicago!!

I heard just a bit of McCain's, too. Sad.

A friend of mine told me that she tells people who ask her if BO is the anti-Christ - no, but that he has the spirit... Yes, I think the devil is preparing for his great deception...

***NEWS FLASH***

As Barack Obama continues to absorb accusations that he is not committed to maintaining America's staunch support for Israel, knowledgeable Democrats have leaked word that he is considering a well-known, pro-Israeli Jewish congressman to be his chief of staff if elected.

The Associated Press reported Thursday night that Obama's campaign has approached Illinois Rep. Rahm Emanuel about the job.

Such an appointment could be seen as a salve to Jewish voters, some of whom have grown skeptical of Obama despite his repeated statements that he is committed to Israel's security.

Emanuel belongs to an orthodox Jewish congregation in Chicago and worked as a volunteer in Israel during the first Gulf War. His father was a pediatrician who grew up in Israel and worked for the Israeli underground before independence.

Obama and his campaign won't comment on the implications of forging an Emanuel-led White House staff -- but they're not completely dismissing the report that he's being considered for the job, either.

Asked if Emanuel would be his chief of staff Thursday night in Missouri, Obama responded: I'm trying to win an election."

Is that a no? a reporter asked.

"Plouffe is my chief of staff," Obama answered, referring to his campaign manager, David Plouffe.

"There's no news because there's no job to offer. We're focused on one thing and that's the election, not anonymous D.C. parlor games," spokesman Nick Shapiro told FOXNews.com in an e-mail.

Emanuel, a veteran of President Clinton's White House, has swiftly ascended through the Democratic ranks since his election to Congress. He was chairman of the Democratic campaign committee two years ago, when the party won a majority for the first time in more than a decade, and he cemented his reputation as a prodigious fundraiser and strong-willed political strategist.

He also served as a senior adviser and fundraiser for Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley before joining the Clinton White House. His Chicago ties could also explain why Obama may be considering him.

But the apparent trial balloon comes as John McCain's campaign continues to hammer the Obama for his statements on Iran, whose president is openly hostile toward Israel.

The McCain campaign recently recycled an ad that ridicules Obama for saying Iran "doesn't pose a serious threat."

The narrator says: "Terrorism, destroying Israel, those aren't serious threats? Obama -- dangerously unprepared to be president."

McCain's camp is also going after Obama for a tape in the Los Angeles Times' possession that supposedly shows Obama giving a toast to Rashid Khalidi, a fierce critic of Israel.

And Joe "the Plumber" Wurzelbacher, who is now campaigning for McCain, twice agreed on Tuesday with a claim from a man at a rally that "a vote for Barack Obama is a vote for the death to Israel."

There was also a pro-Israel rally held Friday in Boca Raton, Fla., under the title: The Case Against Obama: Fatal for Israel -- Lethal for the Jews."

Obama states on his Web site that he strongly supports the U.S.-Israel relationship, as well as Israel's right to defend itself and providing foreign assistance to the country.

Meanwhile, McCain's campaign seized on the Emanuel leak as a sign of overconfidence Friday, with just four days to go until Election Day.

"He's measuring the drapes ... and this week he settled on a chief of staff," McCain said at an Ohio rally.

"I think the reality is that Senator Obama ought to let the American people have a vote before he starts setting up his White House," McCain spokesman Brian Rogers said.

Both Obama and McCain have authorized their staffs to begin transition operations in recent weeks -- although only one of them will be in a position to make use of the results.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

WASHINGTON -- President-elect Barack Obama chose Illinois lawmaker Rahm Emanual to be his White House chief of staff, his first selection for the new administration, Democratic officials said Wednesday.

If Emanuel accepts, the congressman would return to the White House where he served as a political and policy adviser to President Bill Clinton.

Several Democrats also said Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry was actively seeking appointment as secretary of State in the new administration.

John Kerry as Sec. of State? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! It just gets worse and worse!!!!

Two campaign officials said the appointment of a chief of staff was not expected for at least a day.

Instead, they said Obama would issue a written statement announcing that his transition team would be headed by John Podesta, who served as chief of staff under Clinton; Pete Rouse, who has been Obama's chief of staff in the Senate; and Valerie Jarrett, a friend of the president-elect and campaign adviser.

The officials who described the developments did so on condition of anonymity, saying they were not authorized to discuss events not yet announced.

Maybe Kerry won't happen, though....(hope, hope, hope)

I told Rachel this morning, I think they are going to try to behave themselves until 2012. At that time they will seek re-election, and afterwards the demonic nature of the man will then manifest itself because he will then have nothing to lose.
