Hello Christian Ladies and Gentlemen.

I am quite happy to have found this discussion board. I wasn't aware of it previously until doing a google search today for a Baptist discussion forum. Thanks be to God for showing this to me, as I can really use the fellowship right now, and some advice and guidance from godly members.

I've been saved for two years now, coming from a background in Roman Catholicism, and even to this day, Rome's influence is still in my life in the form of family members who are very committed to, and very much a part of, the unfortunate Whore of Babylon. I owe much of my decision to accept Christ as my Savior to a godly former co-worker at my previous worksite, a man whom I persecuted and argued with over religion (or, at least, my religious beliefs ie. Catholicism) while on the jOB. I learned that he was praying for me, and so were the members of his congregation, all fundamental Baptists. This man gave me some books by Brother David Cloud, and as can be expected, Mr. Cloud's clear message really hit me. It wasn't too long before I renounced Rome and embraced Christ, my true Savior.

As stated, I need the fellowship and I hope to make your acquaintance and friendship here. My whole environment, from work to home is full of worldliness. My family is Catholic, including my wife, but my hope is that the Lord will touch their hearts and turn them to Him. At work, I am surrounded by a lot of hard hearts and hard men. Lots of blasphemy, cursing and cussing, f this and f that, you know the score. Even the better, intelligent ones are atheist and perverted.

So, I hope to be able to draw from your faith in Christ, your consolation and advice. Would you refuse that cup of cold water to this thirsty man?

Thank you very much.

Welcome. This is a wonderful forum and I'm sure you will be blessed by your participation here.

Your situation makes me think of the life of Joseph recorded in Genesis 37 - 50. Perhaps as difficult as your situation seems now, you have been called to be a conduit through which God can bring salvation to your family members and work colleagues. I will certainly be praying for all of you. I look forward to your participation in the forums.

Come on in Crispy. The Savior has an abundance of water for you and all those you love...

Revelation 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
