I agree. But nothing will ever beat the iPod (I can't imagine). - I have a desktop and a laptop but I could see me using this for e-books and web browsing while sitting in a lounge chair or reclining in bed. Kind of pricey though for the Ram rich version.

The biggest drawback in my mind is that if you lay the thing down on a table top to use the keyboard part of the screen you must pretty much straight over the device, the screen doesn't tilt or angle towards the one using is.

They prOBably have or will make a rack or easel of some kind to put it on so you can use it at an angle.

I saw the promo for it today and it looks pretty good. A lot bigger size than the Ipod, so it would be good for videos and reading, as well as easier to access the Net. My computer is so old that I basically have more memory on my Ipod than my computer. It would be cheaper to buy one of these Ipads, and I would basically have a laptop that I could pack anywhere, take out for reading - and all my Ipod applications work on it too (as the promo said). Looking forward to learning more about this product.
