Christian Voice - Breivik This website claims to present & campaign for Christian values - but in this comment on the Norwegian mass-murderer, the implication is that the youngsters deserved it for supporting the Palestinians & THEREFORE It is possible to be pro-Palestinian, without being anti-Israel. It's called "peaceful coexistence." While I am concerned that the "Christian Voice" should be heard, this man would be condemned by Paul for maintaining a Jewish Covenant alongside I do not want this to be a dispensationalist vs covenant theology discussion. Would you have this guy - Stephen - speak with a "Christian Voice" on your platform? IanD ak…

Got this from a friend this morning. It's pretty good... How taxes work - 10 Men Go To Dinner Suppose that every day, ten men go out for dinner and the bill for all comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this: 10 MEN GO TO DINNER The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing like they do now with the present income tax structure. The fifth would pay $1. The sixth would pay $3. The seventh would pay $7. The eighth would pay $12. The ninth would pay $18. The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59 of the bill. So that is what the ten men decide to do. The ten men ate dinner in the restaurant every day and…

I'm shutting it down with this internet thing for a while. I'm rather tired of it. I think I'm gonna go primitive for a bit. Maybe try reading or even better yet just sitting in a quiet room with the window open and the breeze blowing in. All this mass\instant communication stuff gets to me after a while. It was nice meeting some of you (in the cyberspace kind of way). I pray the best for all of you and remember to keep God first in everything.

The trailer is public and the excitement is building. "Courageous" is about fatherhood and having the courage to stand, even if it means standing alone. But "Courageous" is rated PG-13 and there does not seem to be any concern about the rating. I find it rather suspicious especially after what we were told by Stephen Kendrick last year. Here is a quote from Baptist Press dated May 28, 2010 - Will pastors be "honored" by recommending that their people go see a PG-13 movie? (As a side note, I think it is a dishonor for pastors to recommend that their people go to the movie theater to see any movie). How long will it be before Sherwood Baptist Church produces an R ra…

Men of education are apt, even when converted, to look upon the simplicities of the cross of Christ with an eye too little reverent and loving. They are snared in the old net in which the Grecians were taken and have a hankering to mix philosophy with revelation.

Alan Keyes: A choice between two socialists, or the cross The issue is not what gave us Obama, but what gave us the choice between Obama and people like McCain and Romney, who are like him in all too many ways. . . . The same forces that put Obama in place have now engineered a choice in the 2012 election intended to force voters to side either with a socialist Democrat who wants to impose socialism on the nation or a socialist Republican who has already imposed socialism on his home state of Massachusetts. To say that voters who refuse to support either are somehow responsible for electing one or the other is like saying that people who refuse to submit to the demands…

One of our fellowship group was lent the video by a Korean lady pastor, with my wife & another we went to watch it. It was incredibly slow moving, with no indication of what was happening, no Scripture, no preaching, no end-times teaching. After 1/2 hour we switched off & looked at Scripture. Had it been a 'normal' TV film (not that I watch them), I would have changed channels within 5 minutes it was so boring. One comment was, "I would not show that to any non-Christian friends." And that is without any critique of the subject matter.

Whatever happened to the lovely dresses women and young ladies used to wear on Resurrection Sundays? From what I saw today it's mostly about the mini-skirt or mini-dress. As is typical on such holidays, we had many guests at church today. My wife and I were so shocked to see several women and young ladies show up in min-skirts and mini-dresses; and I do mean mini! As bad as that was, when I stood up to leave at the end of the service and was heading towards the back of the church, and young woman stood up from a back pew and she was wearing exceedingly tiny shorts and a baggy top that fell way off her shoulder. I realize dress standards have drastically changed over…

RNC: “Where the rules don’t matter” by Joel McDurmon on Aug 29, 2012 The RNC kicked off last night with a vote on the highly controversial rules committee report in which a small committee of GOP establishment favorites tweaked the rules to allow the national convention to override and block delegates from state and local conventions if they don’t personally approve of those delegates. The move has been attacked nationwide as a top-down takeover of grass-roots and TEA party politics by the GOP elite at the national level. As such, delegations from several states were prepared to fight the measure when it came to a vote. They did, but the top-down GOP apparatus was alr…

Over the past couple of days I've noticed many liberals saying the reason Isaac is heading towards Florida is because of the Republican National Convention. Many have posted online that the oncoming hurricane is punishment for Republicans "war on women" and other atrocities they claim from Republicans. Now that the forcast looks as if Isaac is going to be heading away from Florida and towards New Orleans they are suddenly saying the move of the storm means nothing. It doesn't mean the Republicans aren't as evil as they said previously and if one says anything negative about New Orleans and the hurricane heading there because of the wickedness in that city they are brand…

Why do we need man-made laws against homosexulity? What will a man-made law accomplish that God's law hasn't? Jerry808....said "The more vocal we Christians are to make laws to stop homosexuality rights, the harder it will to be to win them & others to Christ." Wilchbla said" A spiritual man judges all things. They hated Jesus because he pointed out their wickedness and unbelief. The world hated the first century Christians because they wouldn't go along with the crowd in the wickedness of the time. Ephesians 5:11- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. " I am not so sure this verse would mean to go to the nati…

Three-person ‘stable union’ registered in Brazil August 29, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Two women and a man living together in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo have registered their relationship as a “stable union,” according to local media sources. The action follows a decision by the nation’s Supreme Tribunal to allow homosexuals to enter into such unions, despite the fact that they are defined in the Constitution as a union between a man and a woman. The decision led to a lower court decision extending the eligibility for homosexuals to marriage itself, although the verdict has not yet been recognized throughout Brazil. “Stable unions” exist in Brazil to regulate coh…

The Apostle Paul confirms the adding of the Gentiles to the church in Ephesians 2:19: "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God." That is a lesson many need to learn. The citizenship of the saints is really all that counts. It matters not which nation you are subject to or citizen of. It is virtually insignificant. One may belong to any of the 200 plus UN-recognized sovereign nations of the world, but in the end, it is all useless. Those of us who are proud of our nation, flag, national anthem, history and position in the world will be deeply ashamed of such things when Jesus comes. In his …

Purely hypothetical, there is no attempt on my part to be disrespectful of my Savior. If someone is offended by the following, I'll apologize in advance. Those who are offended easily please read no further or leave your comment and don't revisit. So here goes (pssst...answers with scripture are welcome!)... If it were possible to vote for Caesar while Jesus Christ was present bodily and the incumbent was Nero Obama and the challenger was Marcus Romney. Obama and Romney, of course, both have their signs in everyone's yard and buttons on the lapel of every toga across the Roman Empire. Who might the Pharisees or Sadducees have supported and voted for, Romney or Obama…

Rick Warren blasts campaigns as “dishonest,” cancels presidential civil forum Rick Warren, Saddleback Church’s pastor, announced Wednesday that a civil forum planned with President Barack Obama and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney at the church has been canceled because of what Warren saw as uncivil discourse between the two campaigns. . . . “We created the civil forums to promote civility and personal respect between people with major differences,” Warren said. “The forums are meant to be a place where people of goodwill can seriously disagree on significant issues without being disagreeable or resorting to personal attack and name-calling. But …

August 24, 2012 CALLS TO DESTROY EGYPT'S GREAT PYRAMIDS BEGIN [Excerpts] According to several reports in the Arabic media, prominent Muslim clerics have begun to call for the demolition of Egypt's Great Pyramids -- or, in the words of Saudi Sheikh Ali bin Said al-Rabi'i, those "symbols of paganism," which Egypt's Salafi party has long planned to cover with wax. Most recently, Bahrain's "Sheikh of Sunni Sheikhs" and President of National Unity, Abd al-Latif al-Mahmoud, called on Egypt's new president, Muhammad Morsi, to "destroy the Pyramids and accomplish what the Sahabi Amr bin al-As could not." …

Personhood USA slams Romney-Ryan pro-abortion exception It’s one of the things we hear quite often: one reason it’s supposedly acceptable for Christians and true conservatives to support Mitt Romney is because he’s surrounded by others more conservative than him who will keep him in line. As Personhood USA notes in this latest case of rape-related abortion, it doesn’t appear to work that way. Christian Post reports, “Personhood USA does not endorse political candidates, but we had hoped that Congressman Ryan would be a good influence on Governor Romney, considering Romney’s liberal abortion record,” said Jennifer Mason, Communications Director for Personhood USA. “Rea…

Over the past year or so I've noticed several preachers preaching on the Rapture and saying that when the Rapture occurs one billion people will suddenly be gone from the earth. I've not been able to determine anywhere in particular where they get this number unless they are looking at the generic numbers of "Christians" worldwide, which includes millions of Catholics and other lost souls. What do you think? If Christ called us today, would a billion people meet the Lord in the air? Do you think the number would likely be more or less?

The New World Disorder By Patrick J. Buchanan Tuesday - August 21, 2012 After his great victory in Desert Storm, George H.W. Bush went before the United Nations to declare the coming of a New World Order. The Cold War was yesterday. Communism was in its death throes. The Soviet Empire had crumbled. The Soviet Union was disintegrating. Francis Fukuyama was writing of "The End of History." Savants trilled about the inevitable triumph of democratic capitalism. Yet, in 2012, sectarianism, tribalism and nationalism are all resurgent, reshaping a world where U.S. power and influence are visibly receding. Syria is sinking into a war of all against all that may end with…

The Lord showed me a scripture in his holy word one Sunday evening as I was listening to my pastor preach. I hope its a blessing to you. Ecclesiastes 5:1-2 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do evil. Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few. All comments and thoughts welcome. God bless you and I love everyone in the holy name of Jesus.
