Christians called to mass exodus from public schools Pete Chagnon - OneNewsNow - 1/2/2009 8:00:00 AM Critics of America's public school system have launched a new effort highlighting the need for Christians to exit the system. The initiative -- dubbed The Call to Dunkirk (video link) -- was launched by Dr. Bruce Shortt, author of The Harsh Truth About Public Schools; Rev. Voddie Baucham, author of Family Driven Faith: Doing What It Takes to Raise Sons and Daughters Who Walk with God; and the founder and director of the Exodus Mandate Project, retired U.S. Army Chaplain Lt. Col. E. Ray Moore. Moore explains the proposal. "The Call to Dunkirk is a special emergency…

I'm sure we have been over this many times. I just want a yes or no and a reason why. I guess more specifically the question is, should a christian celebrate Christmas with all the pagan traditions attached to it?

January 10, 2009 How Fast Will Obama Break His Oath to God? Jim Rudd / The Covenant News: CNN is reporting that Barack Obama wants to invoke the name of God when he "solemnly swears" to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States" during the inauguration oath on January 20. Since all evidence suggests that Obama plans to head one of the most un-Constitutional administrations in the history of the United States, rivaling even the Bush administration, the question then is: How soon will Obama break his oath to God? Seeing that he is an unabashed baby-killing pro-homosexual and given over to a reprobate mind, I say he'll break his oath to God with…

Recommended Reading For 2009 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By Chuck Baldwin -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Covenant News ~ January 09, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to take the opportunity this column affords for my annual review of some books that I have found to be extremely helpful and that, I believe, would greatly benefit any American who truly loves freedom and constitutional government. The Old Testament prophet warned, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." That adage is as …

I just got done watching a video sermon from a black Baptist church I used to attend for over a year. I have to tell you, I really miss that church....... The preacher's message was concerning God's ability to keep the Believer. Not only is the Spirit of God upon this man of God, there is just something about the whole congregation and the life, love and passion they show toward the Savior. I've traveled over much of the USA, Canada and then the Far East and never get tired of being in different fellowships of Believers. God's creation is so fascinating to experience. The different ways of praising and worshiping the King Eternal is just such an enriching exper…

Prepare. Defend. Assist. The Texas Civil Defense is a volunteer organization comprised of former military personnel and civilians willing to serve their individual communities. Our members include teachers, police officers, truck drivers, self-employed individuals, medical personnel, retirees, and individuals employed in various aspects of the business world. Because we are a volunteer organization, we spend much of our own money to provide supplemental information for our training programs and to advertise our services. http://www.orgsites.com/tx/tcd/index.html If you don't live in the great state of Texas you can start your own group in your state.

INTERESTING STUFF In the 1400's a law was set forth in England that a man was allowed to beat his wife with a stick no thicker than his thumb. Hence we have 'the rule of thumb' ------------------------------------------- Many years ago in Scotland , a new game was invented. It was ruled 'Gentlemen Only...Ladies Forbidden'...and thus the word GOLF entered into the English language. ------------------------------------------- The first couple to be shown in bed together on prime time TV were Fred and Wilma Flintstone. ------------------------------------------- Every day more money is printed for Monopoly than the U.S. Treasury. ----…

For quite a while now, my husband and I have been burdened to post Scripture passages and verses around our home as meditation aids and constant reminders of how we should be viewing life. We want our kids to think of God's Word when they remember the rooms of the house in which they were reared. We've found an inexpensive, easy way to actually "write God's Word upon the doorposts of our house." Now we just need to decide which Scriptures to use. We're looking for general, profound, "all-encompassing" type verses...like maybe verses that some would call a "life verse." I was wondering if you all would mind sharing what verses have been meaningful to you as "course-setting…

One Trillion Dollar Debt...that's a lot of zeros after the one. 1,000,000,000,000 2 Corinthians 9:12 For the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; What can we give if our dollar becomes worthless around the world?

Hello again, everyone. I would like to know what the consensus of opinion is on this board concerning spiritual warfare. How many of you believe that (1) devils are real (2) they possess/oppress people (3) and whether evil spirits can be and are cast out in our time just as they were in the gospels and Acts.

My son, Jonathan, who is only 2, has been listening to his big brother and sister learning their Kidz Club verses for RU. Just the other day, we heard him walking around the house quoting Psalm 37:25 I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.. It is funny to think of him as having been young and now he is old. He also know Ephesians 6:1 and John 3:16.

Can you fall in the sewer and come out smelling like roses? A woman my wife works with, her and husband drives their car and truck without insurance, without vehicle licenses. 5 Weeks ago she got stopped and received a ticket for no insurance. 3 weeks ago she was going to the doctor and was in a wreck, $8,000 damagers to her old car. But don't fear, she has had full coverage insurance for 4 weeks, in fact, probably the 1st time is years that they had vehicle insurance. I believe her and husband thinks the insurance company is going to give them $8,000 to repair their car that her husband paid about $2,000 for at U. S. Border Control auction. The car is a bit over 10 …

I like a lot of references available when I study so, I was surprised to see this one spring up, I'm wondering what others might have experienced with it. http://www.theopedia.com/Main_Page I read through Theopedia's "Statement of Faith" and it seems acceptable to me except, I saw no mention of the Virgin Birth of Christ. Also, on Theopedia they are debating if the "THE CAMBRIDGE DECLARATION" should be added. http://www.reformed.org/documents/index ... ridge.html (may have to paste to read the declaration) Also, I read through The Cambridge Declaration, it's great to see the evangelical movement I observed for the past 30 years taking an IFB perspective. 1. What do …

Okay for those of you in or near Lancaster (PE? haha, ok try to think like a lady!) I am planning a ladies overnight to Lancaster Pa this summer. I know for sure I'm going to try to get a nice hotel or something on Priceline...and on the Saturday we are going to do the Tabernacle. However the Friday afternoon before, I wanted to do something nice and then a nice dinner. I thought about outlet malls but eh....maybe something more unusual would be better. And then not Shady Maple for dinner, as our church is doing that, I think, at another date. I also want to do brunch before the Tabernacle. Any ideas? I'm not super familiar with Lancaster...a friend of mine me…

Dr. Peter Hammond in South Africa, deals with the duty of Christians to defend themselves. ?But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.? 1 Timothy 5:8 Fathers and husbands are required by Almighty God to provide for their families. This includes not only providing food, housing, clothing, education, medical care, love, discipleship and spiritual guidance, but also protection. Of what worth is all the other provision if one does not provide protection as well? Anyone who fails to provide for their family has denied the Faith and is worse than an unbeliever. In fact, those who ref…
