Goodbye, America! It Was Fun While It Lasted by Ann Coulter 02/11/2009 It's bad enough when illiterate jurors issue damages awards in the billions of dollars because they don't grasp the difference between a million and a billion. Now it turns out the Democrats don't know the difference between a million and a trillion. Why not make the "stimulus bill" a kazillion dollars? All Americans who work for a living, or who plan to work for a living sometime in the next century, are about to be stuck with a trillion-dollar bill to fund yet more oppressive government bureaucracies. Or as I call it, a trillion dollars and change. The stimulus bill isn't as bad as w…

Taxpayers may have to cover octuplet mom's costs LOS ANGELES ? A big share of the financial burden of raising Nadya Suleman's 14 children could fall on the shoulders of California's taxpayers, compounding the public furor in a state already billions of dollars in the red. Even before the 33-year-old single, unemployed mother gave birth to octuplets last month, she had been caring for her six other children with the help of $490 a month in food stamps, plus Social Security disability payments for three of the youngsters. The public aid will almost certainly be increased with the new additions to her family. Also, the hospital where the octuplets are expected to spend…

Im sure this topic has been covered but I felt I may help me to share it. I have always been a worrier. I am much better as I mature in the Lord but there is one area that I really battle. That area is health. Being on disability really isnt the worry though it can be discouraging. My worry is these heart palpitations I have. I noticed them about 4 years ago when I was 36. I went in and had the works done. EKG, stress test, blood work. Everything was normal with exception to slightly high BP and high trigliserides. The Dr. said there are 100 + palpitations and most are not dangerous, just annoying. He said mine were not dangerous, that my heart was 100% …

[BOOK] Change Your Church for Good
by Guest Guest- 3 replies

Change Your Church for Good: The Art of Sacred Cow Tipping Pastor Brad Powell writes an easy-to-read, comprehensive guide to change and how to properly affect it within the church. Unlike many books, where the author merely sympathizes with the reader's wants and desires for change, Brad Powell actually details out how to bring about that change and how to do it Scripturally. He uses personal illustrations and stories of past failures to point out how NOT to do things. He speaks on the necessity of social relevancy within the church, and how we can do that without compromising truth. In essence, this book teaches and shows how it is okay, to "tip over the sacred co…

Mouthwash linked to cancer | The Daily Telegraph By Clair Weaver January 11, 2009 12:00am AUSTRALIA'S top-selling mouthwashes can cause oral cancer and should be pulled from supermarket shelves immediately. Leading independent experts have issued this strong warning after investigating latest scientific evidence linking alcohol-containing mouthwashes to the deadly disease. Their review, published in the Dental Journal of Australia, concludes there is now ``sufficient evidence'' that "alcohol-containing mouthwashes contribute to the increased risk of development of oral cancer''. The ethanol in mouthwash is thought to allow cancer-causing substances to permeate…

STONEHENGE SOLVED? For hundreds, maybe thousands of years, people have been trying to figure out how primitive people could build huge structures such as Stonehenge and the pyramids out of stone blocks weighing thousands of pounds. Scientists have been stumped. Then along comes a normal guy - a retired construction worker ? and he says well, I would do it like this. And he does. This guy uses the simplest tools known to man and shows how simple and easy it would have been to create Stonehenge . This is a really great video clip. Amazing how this guy could figure out something that has confounded scholars for centuries. And not only figures it out, but demonstrates it!…

Amazing Grace, based on the life of antislavery pioneer William Wilberforce. The movie captured the period and Ioan Gruffudd and capturend the man. I thought the screenplay was great. I watch few movies because I can't sit through them without something appearing which can't be shared with my God. The Lord could be in the room with me for this movie. Rent and watch or buy this movie for your library. (on line movie preview) http://www.amazinggracemovie.com/index.php

This family could really use ya'lls prayers, even though you don't know them. I will not use last names.... Joah and Alaina were both homeschooled and met at a basketball practice for homeschool kids. They instantly fell in love and were married last November. They were married at my church and attended there before moving about 50 miles away. THey still kept in contact with everyone and visited when they could. OUr church is full of homeschoolers/homeschool graduates so even though many didn't actually know them, they knew of them, etc. Anyway, the whole family went out skeet shooting that day, then to eat. Later that evening, Josh was cleaning his gun, which he fo…

Caylee Anthony with Jett Travolta. There is a peace in knowing the Savior then there is the sorrow of cherishing the world. Little Caylee and possibly Jett are together in God's loving care but, those who are left behind are where the greatest contrast occurs. Caylee's family celebrates her continuing life while Jett's family can only know death. Praise God I have that blessed hope. This is a prime example of why we must go and share the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

2 Afghans face death over translation of Quran KABUL ? No one knows who brought the book to the mosque, or at least no one dares say. The pocket-size translation of the Quran has already landed six men in prison in Afghanistan and left two of them begging judges to spare their lives. They're accused of modifying the Quran and their fate could be decided Sunday in court. The trial illustrates what critics call the undue influence of hardline clerics in Afghanistan, a major hurdle as the country tries to establish a lawful society amid war and militant violence. The book appeared among gifts left for the cleric at a major Kabul mosque after Friday prayers in September…

February 6, 2009, 8:53 Young hero died protecting sister from molester A seven-year-old boy who died defending his older sister from a potential rapist has been honoured posthumously. Zhenya Tabakov's mother received the order of courage medal on behalf of her son. Just over two months ago Galina lost her son and she's still struggling to get over the shock. Zhenya was brutally murdered by a robber, as the boy was trying to save his 12-year-old sister from being raped. It all happened in late November, in the small military town of Noginsk-9 - a place where even small crimes are rare. Around midday, a man rang the bell of the flat where Zhenya and his famil…

Monday's child is fair of face. Tuesday's child is full of grace. Wednesday's child is full of woe. Thursday's child has far to go. Friday's child is loving and giving. Saturday's child works hard for a living, But the child who is born on the Sabbath Day Is bonny and blithe and good and gay.

February 07, 2009 WARNING: Christians Get Out of GOP Steve Deace / Deace's Daily Diary - WHO Radio.com: If the election of Michael Steele as Chairman of the Republican National Committee isn't a jump the shark moment for Christians in the partisan arena, then the salt has truly lost its flavor. Consider this quote from Steve Scheffler, longtime head of the Iowa Christian Alliance and current Republican National Committeeman from Iowa in the January 31st edition of The State, the top newspaper in South Carolina: Scheffler said Steele had ties to Republicans for Choice (abortion), Log Cabin (gay) Republicans and others at odds with party conservatives. ?It?s a whole g…

I just wanted you to know the next time you visited...I'm still praying. I hope you had a good day today. Psalms 142:4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul. Remember that Jesus cares for your soul.
