Well, the story above is about the younger of the two's boy friend. They were engaged. He was shot and killed friday night. They have a new born daughter. She has not been living for the Lord for quite some time. It breaks my heart she is going through this. But I pray that it wakes her up and gets her back to God.

Please keep praying for Flourgirl's parents. They are now fighting a fever that comes and goes that showed up on Sunday. The fever runs at 101 or more at times. They are almost 70 years old and they both still work hard and they need a lot of prayer at this time. Thanks. CJP56.

I'd like to ask everyone to pray but if you went to ABC (in the 90s) or BJU (the past several decades :frog ), you might know the Bixby family. The Bixby clan is known for having lots of kids and strong, godly families. Jonathan and Amy Caldwell Bixby were classmates of mine at ABC and dear friends as well. I was in their wedding. Jon is a pastor in Colorado and Amy homeschools their 6 children. For the past few weeks I've had tooth/jaw pain that I believe is related to my wisdom teeth. It's been bothering me more lately and last night was so severe I could barely stand it. I have contacted an oral surgeon who will do an x-ray on Thursday to see if it is infected. If it is infected it could cause pre-term labor so I will have to have the wisdom teeth extracted OR take an anti-biotic. The extraction will have to be done with local anesthetic only and my body doesn't respond well to local anesthesia (I need LOTS of it for it to numb which isn't an option when pregnant). Friday Night there was a horrible car wreck in my community. 4 cheerleaders from the local high school ages 15-15-16-17 where killed. 3 of the girls had a salvation testimony (PRAISE GOD) I personally knew all the girls but was only close to one of them. We are a very close knit community and need lots of prayer to get us all through this hard time dealing with the death of our loved ones. I'm sure that some of you know Bro. and Mrs. Veryl Stalnaker who are church planters here in the US. Their daughter Debra, married a young man from our church last March, and are both very active in our church ministries. Debra began feeling ill a few months ago and has since been to several doctors, and had a short stay in the hopsital. The conclusion is that her brain is leaking fluid. There is a situation in our church in which a couple allowed something inappropriate to take place. Not only did they allow it, they instigated it. This action was very offensive to some in our congregation. I am not saying that the very action was wrong, but the fact that it was done with the knowledge that it would offend some is. I must meet with one of my deacons in the morning to try and correct the damage done, but also to insure that it does not happen again. We only have one car. It konked out today. It had been making a noise, but today it got progressively worse, and finally stopped going a mile from home. Oddly enough the engine was still running but the car just wouldn't go. It was making the noise even when in park so we assumed it wasn't the transmission. I have two car with transmission trouble and neither of them behaved this way. My wife had to cancel her subbing job for tomorrow, and she won't be able to sub until we either get it fixed or get another car. Our finances are threadlike. Several of my kiddos are coming down with colds. My 13yr. old got hit particularly hard--had a temp. of 103.6, body aches, sore throat, headache, the works....the fever finally broke, but I am concerned because it sounds an aweful lot like influenza. I have him "quaranteened" yesterday and today because I don't want him to give it to the baby. The problem is often the starting point is belief there is no God...or they cant know. Just because they look at things they can observe, they automatically rule out the supernatural. What they fail to see is they have their own religion, because they never observed one species become another. They have faith that whales became cows.. dinosaurs became birds and ape like creatures became humans. They don't have good evidence for this. Most creation scientists talk about what glasses you put on to view the evidence. I don't like this kind of thinking because it doesn't talk about the facts...but it does show preconceived assumptions. -

My niece sent me a text yesterday telling me that my father had asked for her pastor to come out to the house to talk to him about eternity. He admitted that he was a sinner and needed the Lord, and he asked the Lord to save him. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. -

Yes, I have a pastor friend in the Independence, MO area that spoke against this often. I've got an aunt and uncle in O'Fallon, MO who could be on either side of the issue.
