Lately, the Lord has been teaching me through His Word how to submit more to Him. I had been letting the devil clOBber me on a couple of personal things and when I asked the Lord for help, this is the verse He gave to me: James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." I had remembered the last part of the verse, but did not meet that first qualifier to "submit". I am so greatful for the Lord's patience in showing me, once again my errors, that I must get rid of all pride and submit to Him fully in every single area of my life. These are great verses: James 4:6-10 "6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God re…

Just want to THANK THE LORD for His patient faithful mercies to us ! I recently found this site and it has been a tremendous help and blessing to me in the few days I`ve been on here . PRAISE THE LORD ! Ps. 149:1 :amen Also , I `d like to praise Him for His precise chastisement and guidance in our lives. Back in May of 09 I came down with severely herniated disc in my lower back. Causing a spinal cord injury and internal damage and leg and foot damage that will not permit me to go back to work. Surgeon says one more day and I would have been paralysed from the waist down . POINT : Only the Lord is merciful enough to allow us to go through things just to the point we can…

My prayer for this nation, those that believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten of the Father; the Holy Ghost would hold sway in their hearts that they magnify Jehovah Tsidkenu and El Shaddai throughout this land.

We have to pay 1/2 of the $1000.00. At least we don't have to pay the whole thing! We have 30 days to make this payment.

I've been back from Korea for two months now and I've been really praying about where to work and haven't really felt comfortable with the places where I've been applying. One of my friends at our church 20-something Bible study told me about a company he used to work for and when I really looked into it and applied, I felt like it was really somewhere where I would love to work and start a career. I've really been praying about it and had my second interview(after an initial phone screening interview) there this past Tuesday. I got a call a few minutes ago letting me know I had gotten the jOB. Praise the Lord that He has provided me a jOB and hopefully a place where I ca…

A bad cold came on last Thursday, coughing, sneezing, sore throat, & waking up in the night to make a hot drink & have more paracetamol & cough mix. I did get to church Sunday morning, though staying indoors would have been more sensible. I did not attempt to sing, & just about managed to give the notices - including that I was scheduled to lead & preach in the afternoon service. My sermon & order of service were printed out, so I could ask someone else to lead & read if necessary. Come 3:30 - I changed the opening hymn for a simple but profound chorus - He is Lord. [My wife had chosen "For all the saints ..." but she wasn't prepared to sta…

Elizabeth went to the doctor on Tuesday for a check-up on her finger. The doctor said that another surgery to try to help her get more movement back in her finger would do more harm than good. Elizabeth mentioned to the doctor that the work comp. people are wanting to close the file on her, and are looking for a level of disability classification. The doctor is sending her to one last physical therapy appointment to do a full check on her finger, and then he will decide on her level of disability. She has gone through a lot - and all with a good attitude. She has her good days, and her bad days. Her finger still is numb, except when bumped, then she feels pain - …

Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. Praise God for His provision even when we least expect it. I had been in some serious need of new shoes for work. The bottoms of my current ones were falling off and my feet would get soaked whenever it rained. Today, God gave me 2 brand new pair of shoes which have never been worn. He not only gave me a brand new pair for work, but He gave me a pair to wear casually as well. No matter what others may say, GOD IS GOOD!!!

As you all know, Elizabeth avoided being hit by another driver by going up onto the curb and caused some damage to our van - at least no one was hurt. The repair shop said it was going to cost over $1000 for new parts to fix the van. The repair shop found 2 parts at a salvage yard and saved us $400 dollars there! When they took off the broken parts to fix the van, they discovered another part that was broken. This part cannot be put on used so we had to buy a new one for $85. Since the repair shop did not notice this the first time they inspected the van, they did not charge us for the labor to install it, just for the part. In all, they were able to get the van do…

...To lead someone to Him. On the Internet. First person ever, in real life and on the Net, that's happened. I'm nOT sure, but I think that's why today and yesterday have been so rough; it appears it happened on Monday night. So, I just want to thank the Lord for using me. Also, please pray that this young man (he's around my age, I think) would grow in his walk with the Lord. And, in the event he really isn't saved - though he appears to be - that he would be. Thank you. God bless, Crushmaster.

Praising God for answering prayers about my job. I was getting ready for my interview when Jacki calls me and said she is getting ready to open back up. I am staying with her. I wouldn't like the other place anyway. I found out that the other day care was run by lesbians.

As you know, Elizabeth has gone through quite an ordeal with her finger. Today at her therapy, she was told that her strength in her finger has improved a lot, and there was more movement/flexibility in her finger. There is still a long way to go, but a good report is what she needed right now.

I have been working at becoming debt free for several years now, and, Praise the Lord!, it has finally happened. I made the last payment on a credit card loan last week. Has anyone seen the new add for Chase Bank that sings "I'm free to do what I want any ol' time." As if borrowing money on a credit card could make you free. Ironically, it was a Chase card that I just paid off. I praise God for teaching me to handle my finances better, and giving me a good job, and helping me be a good steward of what He has blessed me with.

A tornado went through our town last night. You may have heard about it on the news, maybe not. About 7:30, my hubby, son and I were in my office. It's on the second floor of the mansion where I work. Minutes before 7:30 I looked outside to see if it was raining (it had thundered a while back). It was. Just a regular rainy evening. Then, without warning, it sounded like something was hitting the west window and the one right behind me. My hubby said maybe it was hail, but it got louder and stronger. To me it sounded like those straps in a car wash hitting the car!!! My son opened the shutter on the west window and he and hubby both looked out. My husband immed…

For so long I prayed for good. That's what He wants for us-right? Been long, sometimes flustrating, sometimes involve deep pain in every way imaginable, didn't think I could go on or even if anyone(yes-even the LORD) if they cared BUT the LORD has taught-is teaching me-that He does have our best interest at heart. He really does love us even when all around us it doesn't look as such or feel at all. People saying"I don't know how you do it." The answer is" I'm not and I had to learn that deep, deep down!" Your probably asking "Isn't this a praise?" It really is because I don't have to be worried--just obey Him. I don't have to be afraid-He know's all and is in charge. Why …

One of my most faithful ladies sometimes misses on Wed because she cares for home bound people and sometimes gets held up in situations. Tonight, she came to church WHILE WORKING! She cares for a wheelchair bound man who has severe brain damage. She asked the parents if she could take him to church as an activity and they agreed. So sure enough... in comes Linda pushing her "patient" in his wheel chair. I told her after service that it sure would have been easy for her to not come. Her response was "I need to be more faithful." (I had preached on faithfulness last sun) My... how my heart was blessed! Praise the Lord! .. ..

Our trip went well; the Lord protected us as we traveled, and things went good. Praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy! I do have a prayer request, though; I've got a sore throat and a fever, so please pray for a rapid recovery for me. I'd appreciate it. Also, please pray for my cousins Dylan and Reagan; I was able to witness to them while we were up there. Please pray that they would get saved. God bless, Crushmaster.

Thank God we live in a nation where you and I can go tomorrow and worship our God freely. I will join tomorrow with members of my local church and sing praises, pray, and listen to Bible based exposition. It is good to be living in America. O beautiful, for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea. O beautiful, for pilgrim feet Whose stern, impassioned stress A thoroughfare for freedom beat Across the wilderness! America! America! God mend thine ev'ry flaw; Confirm thy soul in self con…

Praise the Lord! Just got a call from one of our missionaries who is going to be with us on Sunday. He had witnessed to some restaurant owners in the town close to our church. They are interested in the Gospel and our church. We're taking them a Bible and church info tomorrow!

My wife and I will be flying to the Dallas area tomorrow for my sons' wedding which will be Friday evening. I praise the Lord for his wonderful "wife to be" whom he met at PCC. I also praise the Lord that I have the great privilege of performing this blessed wedding. They have been "going together" for years and they are a great testimony for their Lord. Praise Him!

God is so faithful to all He says. You wouldn't know, but a couple of weeks ago my wife was denied unemployment for the week they were shut down earlier this month. That was a pretty hard blow at this time. Initially I was upset and frustrated but then I came upstairs for alone time with God. I reminded God (not that He needed reminding, but Scripture gives examples of doing this) that He has promised to provide for all our needs and to work all things together for good. I asked for forgiveness for my initial reaction to the bad news and told Him I was not going to fret about it because I was going to totally trust Him. Then today God shows Himself true to His Word…
