This board is a KJB board. It beleives that the KJB is withour proven error. If you beleive that there could have been a better translation, you are entitled to that belief, but we are not interested in that opinion. Lately I have noticed a few posters that are obviously not KJB only, making comments about our beloved Bible that asperse doubts on the the text, the underlying TR text, the translators and how they were inconsistent in translating words... etc. If you are of the opinion that the KJB is merely a "good" translation but the Greek or Hebrew can allow you to correct it, then perhaps you should keep that opinion to yourself. I own a Evidence Bible(edited by Ray Comfort).This is a "easy reading KJV bible".It is the KJV bible but words such as ye, and betwixt and edited and the modern words are put in(you,between). Does any one else own this bible?What does everyone think about this edit to the KJV bible?

Could you tell me what might be the 10 most glaring scripture problems with the NIV? Also, why doesn't someone publish a modern translation from the TR, if that would eliminate the simplicity issue? I use KJV, I love it. I love the poetic nature of it...it is like music and makes it easier to remember. It is also beautiful, which translated into our English it would lose those qualities. Hey why doesn't someone translate Shakesphere into modern day English? Now THAT would have helped me a lot in school:)) Oh well, part of the torture we must all endure I guess;/

Whenever I get into a discussion about the Old Testament, I often hear people say that such-and-such is translated better in the "original Hebrew", or that I need to look at the Hebrew for the "deeper meaning". Why would God go through the trouble of preserving his word in English if all it's going to be is a perversion of the "original Hebrew"? God has given us his perfect word in the KJV, and you don't need to be an expert in Greek or Hebrew to understand it.

Greetings. Praise the Lord! One thing I have noticed as regards modernist attacks on the integrity of the KJV is that they tend to avoid the fact that the Lord has so richly blessed many generations by way of the KJV Bible. Many fail altogether to make a connection between the apostasy of our times and the modern business of cranking out corrupted, and contradictory, bogus bibles. It is becoming rather obvious however that many believers are indeed being confused and adversely affected by this proliferation of corrupted texts which represent a most ungodly resurgence of old Gnostic (Arian) perversions of Holy scripture. I saw a lot of banter over the word "Easter" in Acts 12 and several who claim to be satisfied that the KJB is a good translation, have suggested however that the KJB is in error. I can respect a man who says he is not KJB only, or is KJB preferred. I mean, I don't agree with their position, but I can leave it alone. But I cannot accept the idea that the KJB has an error. I am really confused about Bible History before the TR. The original NT was penned in Greek, correct? How much of the oringal writings are available to us? How many copies of the original mauscripts are there? Where were/are they? Where are they now? Do these copies of the orignal match? Let me stop there for now cause I need to get that straight before I can go further.

I've made use of the search feature, but haven't found much regarding this potential issue. I apologize if this is a foolish question and the solution is obvious, but here goes: My wife and I use only the King James Bible. We both utilize several different copies and software packages on a regular basis. Lately, I've noticed some variance in word usage, spelling, and capitalization among them. I curently use a Thompson Chain and find myself relying too often on the footnotes and references instead of God's Word. I would like to have a KJV with red letter edition, Thumb indexed, and goatskin cover. no refrences. Maps would be fine. If anyone can help? Thanks Kevin

Ohio had a trifecta President Trump, Senator Moreno (R) replaced Brown (D), and NO on issue 1! From what I hear the nation also has a trifecta of republicans for president, senate, and house. I hope the opportunity isn't squandered. -
Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks. -

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
