When Linda and I went thru Custer's Battle Field, Little Big Horn back in 92 where so many of our soldiers were slaughtered we felt a feeling that was strange to us. I believe such feelings come from our imagination.

How much business does that tale add to their restaurant?

I have no idea I don't know this restaurant but that is why I am going sometime in the next several week. There are pros and cons about the place and it has a good scenery.

The images in the picture could be tricks of light. That often happens and people take it for something else.

It could also be a demon. As was mentioned, spirits of people don't roam the earth. But demons do falsely portray them. Extreme cold is one of the signs that they are near. I would say that your sister shouldn't be trying to call a ghost up, especially with your niece there - but I don't think your sister is saved, is she KJVK? I can't remember. If she isn't, then she probably does believe that the spirit of this girl is there.

elijahruth - I agree that scary stories shouldn't be told to children...God tells us that He hasn't given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind: telling spooky stories to children creates a climate of fear and can do one of two things: make children fearful to the point where they can be afraid of things through life; or, two = create in them a desire to hear and see more of it, thus drawing them into the occult - sometimes without them even realizing it's the occult. I'm not saying that always happens, but it can and does. I've seen it with members of my own family.

I have too. I just think that once something like that gets started, satan feeds on it to draw you in deeper and worse. Thanx.

I used to live in the east TN area and they used to have many spook stories and places down there. Around the Smokies in particular. It's a bible belt to be sure, but along with that you get the other usually, too.
I think it stems from all the old mountain folklore. Lots of storytellers and traditions.

Basically from experiences of others - some about which I have read, some about which people I know personally experienced. I have a friend who lived in an actual haunted house - there were manifestations even while I was visiting her...thank the Lord it was kept away from me, but demons were there! Cold (and I mean real, unexplained cold...not just the shivers) and sometimes the smell of sulfur accompany manifestations, as do strange lights. Not always all together, and not always.

KJVK - the picture does look like a trick of the light. It's amazing what a camera can pick up and refract and reflect, causing things to look like images. I do photography as part of my job, although I am in no way an expert. I'm often amazed at how strange some pictures turn out. That is not to say that there aren't photos that really do reflect an unkown image - I think that does happen. Could be here, but, again, it looks like reflection from the flash.

Also, KJVK - just a warning from one sister to another: be very careful!! Demonism isn't something to be taken lightly (I'm sure you don't...the mother in me just has to say it! =D ). Many Christians have been hurt spiritually by putting themselves knowingly in the path of demons!

I agree with you Here that it's not to taken likely. I have a friend well used to that speaks to demons and then say she is talking to an anime character. This Character is half demon dog and human in the anime series. This spirit had gave her some excuse to stay away from my parents house and say there is a big demon in my parents house several years ago. However recently she told me it's gone. She is also getting into Death metal music with her agnostic friend and her best friend is a wiccan now. So since we are three states away now I am stay clear away from her. Plus she calls me a toxic Christian by saying I am a Baptist now and standing on the word of God. Tonight I have been to Church after being hurt by her for 5 months and healing the loss of the friend ship.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friendship, KJVK. That does hurt so much! It is a sad but true thing that people will often desert friends who turn to Christ. It is Light vs. darkness. Just remember that Jesus is the Great Physician, and He can heal your hurt...as well as bring her to Himself!
