Linda had left this morning at about 10:00 AM to go set up with her father in the VA hospital tonight. She called just a few minutes ago to let me know he had died.

This has been a rough round.

He walked into the VA under his own power, he was a bit dehydrated, they were going to give him fluids for a couple of days and he would be back home.

It seems the heart doctor thought he needed his heart medicine changed, this he did, from there it was downhill. When he changed the medicine he could get up, walk around, set and eat, less that 24 hours after this he was laying in the bed and knew nothing.

The heart doctor came to us and told us he had an infection, it must have went to the heart, now there was nothing we can do, his veins has collapsed, what would be your wishes. They wanted to stop all treatment, which they did, less than 12 hours he was talking to us. Although a bit mixed us, the next morning he was talking and knew everything, plus eating a bit. he slowly got better until last night, seems it turned the other way, them died this afternoon.

During the time after taking him off all medicines and MD doctor came in and told them the heart doctor had OD'ed him on heart medicine, infection did not do this. It seems if the heart doctor had just let the heart medicine alone things would have gone much better, he was just to weak to fight his way back.

Prayers appreciated

Thank you. His obituary is right here, there is a small picture of him. His should be the 2nd one down, Coy Watts.

I know that come Thursday afternoon at about 2:00 PM there will be several lost people, as well as some who are backslidden as well present. I really hope that our Lord will bless what I and my father-in-laws pastors says on that day.

I haven't put together any notes yet, but with my father-i-law having been saved at 81 years of age gives me some great thoughts to express our Father's wonderful grace.

I might add, I was shocked when my sister-in-law called me that next Sunday and told me that Coy had walked the aisle that Sunday morning and professed his faith in Christ to save him before the church and that he wanted to be baptized.

She also asked me, Why didn't you let us know that Coy had accepted Jesus as Savior?" I replied, "That was not for me to tell, I felt if Coy was really saved he would not be ashamed and he would let everyone know about it himself."

Thank you for the prayers.

My sympathy and prayers go out to your family, Pastor Jerry. May they find strength in knowing that they will be united with Linda's father in heaven one day.

Praying that the Lord uses you as a wonderful vessel to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and those who are backslidden and/or out of fellowship.

May God bless you and your family,

Molly
