Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is impossible that a nation of infidels or idolaters should be a nation of freemen. It is when people forget God that tyrants forge their chains.

All the distinctive features and superiority of our republican institutions are derived from the teachings of Scripture.

The fundamental basis of this nations' law was given to Moses on the mount. The fundamental basis of our Bill of Rights comes from the teaching which we get from Exodus and Matthew, from Isaiah and Paul....If we don't have the proper fundamental moral background, we will finally wind up with a totalitarian government which does not believe in rights for anybody except the state.

Harry S. Truman, thirty-third president of the United States

It is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits and humbly to implore His protection and favor.

John, we've got a great government set up, we had a great start. If our office holders were honest & godly, if big business would not buy favors, corruption would not be tearing our country to pieces. The older our country gets, the worse it will gets. No doubt, corruption will bring down our nation.

Sad to say, our country & its leaders are not following the advise of George Washington.

That's right Jerry and we should really pay attention to just how far from our roots America has fallen and work extra hard for the Kingdom with whatever time we have left to do so.

It's very telling that our last two presidents made it a specific point to repeatedly proclaim that America is NOT a Christian nation. Both have proclaimed that the God of the Bible and the god of Islam are one and the same. Both have proclaimed both Christianity and Islam (as well as some other religions) lead to heaven. Our current president specifically denounces those verses of Scripture which proclaim homosexuality a sin. Our current president is also a major supporter of abortion, both here in America and around the world.

How much longer will Christians be able to openly spread the Gospel, preach the Word and live boldly for Christ in America? How long before America is turned completely over to her reprobate ways or crushed under the justice of God's wrath?

I understand that in the supreme court you have tablet showing the ten commandments.

Recently I heard that a visitor was told by a guide that it is the ten ammendments to the constitution. The guide did not seem to know what the ten commandments were.

We had a man preach at our church yesturday and he is a person that goes to our state gov't and Washington D.C. to speak against immoral laws coming about. He is a voice for christian education. He has been more or less ignored in some things he and others with him have been testifying against. No one wants to see the christian view anymore.

He said the tour guide in Washington D.C. says nothing of the christian values in the paintings or statues there. Says the 10 commandment carvings are the first ten ammendments instead. Does not say anything of christian history in our founding fathers or in the buildings.

Isn't the God that Christians, Jews and Muslim's worship the same God? Isn't he the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? Isn't the the big issue and huge difference in how we each expect to be made right with and before that God?

I hope you are being facetious, because the Bible makes it clear that there is only one way to be made right with and before God.

Muslims do not worship God the Father of Jesus Christ who we worship.

They think Jesus was a very good man and teacher, but they do not believe He is the Savior, that He was s deity.
