Must do some driving today with potential nasty weather coming into the area. Still need to get our heater working too. Praise God I won't be alone in this!

I wonder who will be the last one to post in this thread in the year 2010.

Maybe this year, I will be the lucky one. :)

Seems I'm looking at cataract surgery on my left eye. Back in the mid 90's I got both eyes injured, my eye doctor at that time told me that because of the injuries to my eyes that I would probably have cataracts at an early age, I'll be 64 come the 16th.

No, I do not believe in luck, I believe in God.

I'll be praying about this Jerry.

My Dad had such surgery some years ago. He's 71 now and the eye doctor told him this year it looks like another may be coming but it probably won't need attention for a few years.

Agreed about "luck". That's a pagan concept and something those without God vainly hope in. For us, we have no need for "luck", as all our needs are supplied by God and He will ever be our help in times of trouble and our provider at all times.

Not slow enough! :coffee2:

In Norse and Germanic mythology (their pagan religions), "luck" was a major factor. This is also true in some other pagan religions.

According to the Word of God, there is no "luck", nothing "just happens", for God is in control of all things and He works ALL THINGS together for the good of His people.

Seeing yet another reply to this topic I thought of this song.

We praise Thee, O God!
For the Son of Thy love,
For Jesus Who died,
And is now gone above.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.

We praise Thee, O God!
For Thy Spirit of light,
Who hath shown us our Savior,
And scattered our night.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.

All glory and praise
To the Lamb that was slain,
Who hath borne all our sins,
And hath cleansed every stain.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.

All glory and praise
To the God of all grace,
Who hast brought us, and sought us,
And guided our ways.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.

Revive us again;
Fill each heart with Thy love;
May each soul be rekindled
With fire from above.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Hallelujah! Amen.
Hallelujah! Thine the glory.
Revive us again.

We had our last Wednesday night Bible study of this year at church tonight. There were only three of us tonight, associate pastor, myself and Bob. Thanks be to God, where two or three are gathered together there He is in their midst!
