I am new to this stuff. :puzzled:

I try my best to learn new things as if it is a toy! :wink

I am deaf by birth. I grow up in S. CA! Went to CSDR for H.S. only. Learn new things there as well as entered NTID in Rocester, NY (1984-90) While student there, I discovered a wonderful hearing church with a deaf ministry pastored by deaf man! This is one of my first time to learn that the deaf man can pastor! All my life until then, I thought interpreting is the only way to do it. Well, now I am leading a new founded ministry for Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach (2005). But I am waiting on Lord to find someplace else because its hard to find good and godly men/women in Orange County! I have a desire to be a pastor for the deaf one day which is not very easy thing to do compare to hearing folks who could just go each door and find out. Deaf people are sparse & spread cross city/CO and I cannot go each door to find a deaf residence! I have to go through networking method to find more deafies there. So far its us who faithfulness attend LBC.

If there are members of OC churches who know some deaf people and would let us to visit the deaf folks, please let us know so we see them and guide them toward Jesus Christ.

I am so glad you are here. We all have an impairment when we measure ourselves beside our Lord Jesus Christ. Because you are here at this moment this truth was made ever so clear to me. God is using you to minister to those who have good hearing too.

I just prayed for your hope and God's leading for you to find or establish that church.

:amen: My best friend and her husband are interprters. A very close fiend of my husbands is deaf in one ear and his fiance is deaf since birth along with her one of her son's. We have a deaf church in AZ. The Pastor is deaf but his son is hearing and the Lord called him into the minisry but to preach in a hearing church for now. I guess I'm just trying to say just keep serving the Lord--He has the plan just walk step by step. Very nice meeting you and welcome! In christ-Pixiedust

I worked in a kindergarten with handicapped children and learned a kind of sing language. That was so hard! It was even hard to understand the sing from the children. But it was fun.
