If the other Bible was from the correct text and if the missionary used KJV whenever they used English....so yeah has to be KJO.

I must be the only one to see the foolishness in breaking fellowship over Bible versions, maybe because I am on the other side of the argument..

Currently, 10 have voted "No" while only 2 have voted "Yes" in this poll. That would seem to indicate that at least 9 others who have voted have at least a similar view to yours regarding this.

Good to see :)

Can't vote either yes or no. Too broad and there can be exceptions for as simple yes or no answer.

But, for sake of argument, I voted yes.

God bless
Bro. Mike

This is a no strings attached poll. :wink

I could reword it to "Would you break fellowship with another believer purely for the reason that they are not KJVO".

Not "they are not KJVO and are gay" or "they are not KJVO and are JW" or "they are not KJVO and ________ (fill in the blank)".

Would you support someone who was not KJO, but was in a foreign country using the Bible in another language anyway?

I would find it extremely difficult to spread the word to other languages under KJVO (not TRO) guidelines. You would either have to translate the KJV into another language or you would have to force everyone to learn English. Both, IMO, would not be the best for the people. KJVO is a very nationalistic (or should I say languagalistic) type of belief. It's not very compatible in non-English speaking countries. You would essentually be telling them to learn the language or else God doesn't have his word preserved for them. Or you would have to create an onlyism doctrine based on a translation in their language. Seems kind of silly (and sad) to me.

Kubel, you have been on this board long enough to know by now that the vast majority of those here who refer to themselves as KJVonly are specifically referring to KJVOnly in English. Most are very much for any sound TR-based translation in other languages. Let's not confuse or sidetrack the issue. The contrast is KJVonly in English as opposed to modern versions in English (and of course, we are certainly not for any MV's in other languages - MV referring specifically to modern versions based on alternate texts or alternate methods of translation other than literal/formal equivalent translations).

There are many people here that are KJVO and not just TRO, and that's what I was talking about (hense the "not TRO"). :wink And since the discussion turned to talking about supporting non-KJVO missionaries, I don't think I was confusing or sidetracking the issue. :Bleh

I believe in separation from non-KJVO's simply because.. it's the most important thing we have here.. the Word of God. If we're not clear on that... we have no real convictions. Things that are different are not the same. God only wrote one Book. ---don't hit me! lol.
