Has anyone here read this book: God's Secretaries: The Making of the King James Bible

I've heard this is a good book but I would like to know if anyone here knows about this book before I decide whether to buy the book or not.

If no one has read this book themselves, would anyone happen to know if any IFB folks or others have reviewed this book? Maybe a website where I could read a reliable review of the book?

I work in a library, and I remember when the book came out. I checked it out and took it home, flipped through it (I always do it before reading a non-fiction book). I don't remember why, but I returned it to the library unread. But here is a link to an interview with the author that might shed a little light on the way it was written.

And here is a reading guide from HarperCollins - not Christian, but it might answer some of your questions.

I personally don't know anyone who has talked about reading it.

Thank you LuAnne!

I read what was at both links and I seem to come away with a bit of a different take on it than what I read from customer reviews of the book on Amazon.com earlier. Some of the Amazon reviews gave the book high praise.

It's really hard to tell for sure without either seeing the book or a review by a reliable Christian.
