Speaking of another rescued RCC...I left that church (in my heart) when I was 7. A little story for that is: When I was waiting to do my 1st Reconciliation...you know, confession before a second grader makes their 1st Communion, and drinks the alcoholic wine. Well, I remember sitting there as a public school kid next to a parochial school child. I asked her "What do I say to the Priest about my sins? I can't think of anything right now"? The Parochial school girl responded "Just make something up to get it over with". I said "Isn't that lying"? She just looked at me. :sad

Another story is...my friend next door was a Presbyterian. At that time they were serving grape juice at Communion. When she found out I was going to drink wine...she yelled, "What grown-ups would give alcohol to a 7 year old"?
