My only thing to say is that even a small child knows this principle...that things that are different are not the same. That's why they play "spot the difference" with two SIMILAR but DIFFERENT pictures. Not that I'm saying the NKJV is "similar" just using the spot the difference as an example.

These arguments about New Age Bible Versions are curious to me. I believe a lot of people don't fully appreciate the treasure they have. I am 45 years old and was a 4th generation JW., and a full time missionary at one point. I was raised on the New World Translation, as well as all the whacky Watchtower doctrines. I have hundreds of my relatives trapped in this "bible" cult..... because they think they are studying the bible.

Perhaps others' families haven't been so affected by the perversion of the Word of God, but I hold these perversions directly responsible for sending all my loved ones to Hell and causing me decades of confusion and hardship. And, please don't someone try and tell me that my family were going to hell anyway. I know how their minds work and I know the "scriptures" they cite as the word of God that keeps them in bondage to sin and death.... scriptures that are virtually identical in hundreds of instances to other New Age Bible Versions.

Even, after getting saved; it has taken me years to find out about the KJV and the IFB. Don't tell me all this confusion and division isn't by crooked design. I have experienced most of it first hand. I have seen the mostly barren wilderness outside of the KJV.

Now maybe some folks believe sound doctrine using a New Age Bible Version .... fine. I'm glad you are saved. Just keep in mind that there are millions of folks like my family that weren't so lucky. If a person's conscience will allow them to touch one of these versions, then please make room for people like me whose conscience will not allow me to uncritically hear, (much less read) even one more perverted scripture citation of God's Word.

Personally, I put all my Nasb, NIV et. al. ; into the garbage can along with all my Watchtower publications. Perry, we could also add the various New Age terms the NKJV incorporates, and the fact that various passages refer to "being saved" and perishing" - making salvation an ongoing process and a halfway state (rather than being lost OR found, dead OR alive, in darkness OR in light, in Satan's kingdom OR God's, a sheep OR a goat).

Volumes could be easily be filled exposing the Satanic origins of replaced words in the "bible" once a person has a good grasp on how deception works..... which I do not recommend learning.

The wording of the NKJV lends itself nicely to a works based salvation. I read every false teaching I could get my hands on trying to figure out how to "gain God's approval". The whole time (several years) it never dawned on me that I couldn't "gain" God's approval at all.

That's how deception works, it appeals to your vanity and sends you on wild goose chases.
