Dr. Ward quotes James 4:17 "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin" as his argument that giving a Bible to children is a sin. He bases this on 1 Corinthians 14 where Paul speaks against the use of unknown tongues (in which see):

1 Corinthians 14:9 So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air.

1 Corinthians 14:19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding, that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an unknown tongue.

Since when is English an unknown tongue in America? I have four children ages 34, 31, 19 & 13. Each of them have been King James from birth. Each of them have had no problem understanding the English used in the KJV. In fact, as a family, we have actually found that the other translations often use wording that the Dr. Ward's of this world will tell us is supposedly easier to understand, but in actuality dilutes or fully corrupts the actual intent of many verses.

To Dr. Ward I would say:

Revelation 22:18-19 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

-and-

Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

Would it be good for me to give my child a bible I know has been altered in such a way as to corrupt the inspired intent of the scriptures? I don't think so, and if you do Dr. Ward then all I have to say is Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. (James 4:17)

Perhaps Dr. Ward you should follow the wisdom of Solomon and...Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

Perhaps then they would not have such difficulty understanding the English language.

This topic got me reading through the King James Bible Research Council's website. Perhaps the best quote I found there was:  "In summary bus kids do not have trouble with the King James Bible, seminary professors sometimes do." How profoundly true.

Regarding kids and the Bible, I believe the kids can receive a Bible once they can read it. If they can understand and get saved. I would not give a Bible to a kid to color on or cut the pages and make airplanes. I don’t understand how two grown men are talking about if it’s a Sin?

That is Mark Ward. He is a professional KJV Bible corrector who uses smooth, positive language like Joel Osteen to destroy your faith in God's words. Really, that is his complete ministry to the saints, i.e. to show how every word in the KJV is a mistranslation or is archaic and that it cannot be understood even with a dictionary. In fact, he views having to pick up a dictionary to look up a word as a flaw in of itself. He has a channel on YouTube where he pushes he "false friends" con job. The use of a term like that reveals his duplicitous nature. Only a two-faced wolf in sheep's clothing would use a term like that.

I was able to easily answer all of his "false friends"  to which he even gave me credit but then blocked me for an "unchristian like spirit" and "harsh language". Snakes usually like to fall on these defenses as a last resort. This was at least three years ago by now.

I've found that slick con artists as Mark Ward like to pretend you are the unchristian one using harsh language while they tear the Bible apart not even giving the KJV or the KJV translators the benefit of the doubt in every single word in the KJV.
