Be careful about saying that. You really don't know what God is leading other churches to do nor exactly what work its members may be doing.

And unless your at these other churches you rightly don't know where their money is going to nor what they be doing, and rightly its not our business, its between them and God, we will do well if we do our part of God's works which He has cut out for us.

I understand what you are saying, I'm speaking of those churches who specifically look down upon the poor, needy sinners in their own area while feeling they have done all they need to do by supportinig a missionary in Africa.

I know some churches are called to support certain missionaries in certain areas and not others. I have no problem with those.

Sorry I wasn't more clear about which churches I was speaking of.

after writing this I went out of my way to see the different places to see who supports gays and lesbians and found a bunch of companies luckily none of them affect me so I am glad but we as Christians need to take a stand against the world and stand firm on the word if we don't who will?

Hi godsgurlie_077. I belong to the American Family Association - AFA. They keep me informed on these companies as well. This McDonald's post was a new one to me. I haven't read any AFA literature in awhile, though. I completely agree with standing firm on the word. I believe that if everyone took a stance like this, then...we could make progress for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Also, HappyChristian...stated it very well about hamburgers, IMO. :smile

Yep and all the people that pretend to be so spiritual by boycotting McDonald's refuse to also boycott Microsoft for doing the same thing because they say they "need" a computer and don't "need" McDonalds. There is no consistency, they just boycott one or two to try and make themselves feel better. AT&T/Bellsouth also support these people, and a lot of Christians have phone/internet/cable with them but won't give that up in a boycott either but will boycott McDonalds because everyone can see them.

Actually I don't use Microsoft internet explorer as well for the same reason. I use Mozilla Firefox. Point being that I was trying to make was We should be giving God the glory not men and not encouraging them in their sin. No one should be encouraging one another to sin it is just not making anyone any better. No one should feel good because no one is good but God.

Yes but unless you have a Mac Computer, you supported those people with your money. It's hard to get around it. I use firefox too simply because it's better. And Microsoft has a lot of other software like Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, FrontPage, Outlook Express, etc.

I find most everyone of these posts to be extremely hypocritical, several pages back I made the comment that if you are going to boycott corporations for supporting sin then you should also quit paying your federal taxes because the federal gov't subsidizes everyone of these sins mentioned in this thread with your tax dollars. I believe the reason people are willing to boycott corporations but not make the same stand against the gov't is because it's easy to not give your money to a company, that action has no consequence, but don't pay your taxes because you don't want to support the sin they use your money for and that will have considerable consequence. I call that hypocrisy and a total lack of conviction. Either stand firm on even ground or shut up.

It should also be remembered that most of the major corporations support the pro-homosexual agenda. They give money to support their parades, their ad campaigns, the legal teams, the promotion of homosexual friendly TV shows and movies, etc.

It's not just McDonalds doing this. McDonalds just happens to be the latest company to be forced into the spotlight over this.

It's obvious these companies know supporting homosexual agendas won't hurt them otherwise virtually all of them wouldn't be doing this. They know true Christians are few. They know true conservatives are few. They know neither group can bring enough economic harm to them to bother them.
